No, you can see the ref on the sideline throw the bean bag.

I hardly even notices Tim Williams. Did he even play that much/hurt?

Maybe he made a ton of tackles but I just recall hearing his name a lot.

I didn't tune in til the 4th quarter and he had one sack where the other DE actually applied most of the pressure and the QB stepped into the pocket and TW was there to clean up. UHigh seemed to be playing a lot of 3 man fronts and I didn't even see TW in on most of those lines which was surprising.

Actually Les redshirted his kids. Manny is nearly 17, just still in the 10th grade.

What an incredible high school game. #4 for U was Brossette and had almost 400 yards. #5 Webb for Evangel got MVP with several TDs on offense and interception on final drive. But #3 Taylor had as good a game as a kid in highschool could have including the heads up play on the fumble that he took back. Nobody ever blew a whistle and with replays they would have ruled on a Sunday game that Ruling on field stands. I hate it for kid from UHigh that picked up the fumble but stopped running. You dont ever want a kid to have to live with that kind of memory. And Miles kid #7 is a nice player too. Good hands, nice runs out of backfield too. He did get interfered with on two point conversion that wasn't called.

Game was an instant classic.

I been watching most of the game and to be honest I can not believe they even offered Tim Williams. Unless he is hurt or something. You have to really look to even notice him. No way this kid is a dominant pass rusher. This is AA football in Louisiana. He should be shining
Tim was hurt on the 2nd play of the game. Big kid number 76 for evangel rolled up on his ankle. He had the trainers tape it up and tried to gut it out. He couldn't use his speed after the injury. Believe me, he is a dominate player! The unfortunate injury made things tough for him the rest of the night.

I agree and maybe even confirmed. The only thing I'm not sure of is if the receiver had control, but it looks like it. The U High kid that gave up the ball probably had a better view, but I don't see anything to refute the call. Hell of a heads up play.

Yep. Hurt his ankle early. My dad talked to Williams parents in the concession line at halftime and they told him that.

What a bullshite play. That gave Evangel the game. I can't wait to see Curtis donkey punch them in the dome.

That was horrendous on the officials part. It sucks that it ended up being the difference.

While I can see there is room for disagreement, that was not a horrendous call. It really looks like a catch and fumble to me and I have absolutely no dog in this fight.

Well, agree to disagree. But, that ball came out pretty quickly after the receiver temporarily caught the ball, and it looked like he didn't make a move after the catch. I rewinded it several times trying to look specifically for adequate possession and I just didn't see it. But, there is no replay in HS football, so there is more of a burden on the refs to get it right.

Geez, why the hate for ECA? All they do is win, going for their fourteenth state title.

Not a hate issue. Refs took the game away from the better team.

Yea it's annoying, a family that used to go to my church, moved to Shreveport a couple years ago and live in a travel trailer so their son can go to ECA, they brag that their son has a state title ring even though he doesn't play.

I applaud Tim Williams. I have been watching high school football a long time. A lot of the kids today don't play through pain anymore. I am not talking about playing through serious injury but playing with minor pain. Many of these kids are protecting scholarships by the way they play and you can see it. They either don't play hard or leave the game at the slightest injury. Nice to see a kid with some toughness. Brossette plays with that same toughness.

Even if ref was wrong and it was not a catch and fumble, the UHigh player recovered that fumble, took a few steps and stopped even though no whistle. Look at UHigh bench reaction. They knew the UHigh guy messed up. Hard to argue refs gave away the game when UHigh had that fumble in there hands.
