LSU has more players in NFL right now than any other school...so not sure why spurning LSU for Bama makes any more business sense.

Not anymore they don't.

Recruiting in college football is a lot easier if a school can show kids that they produce NFL players, and no school has more players on this season's NFL rosters than Alabama.

With 43 players on the 32 rosters, Alabama tops the list of active players through the first three weeks of the season, according to data from the NCAA. LSU, who just fired head coach Les Miles, is a close second with 42.

Here are the 31 schools with at least 21 active NFL players. Players from these schools represent approximately half of all players in the NFL this season.

for sure. far as recruiting goes, it doesn't matter til signing day. he could change his mind like he's done before.

let's see how the year plays out, i doubt we're out of it. he probably needed to go ahead and commit to bama because of other players bama was offering. if we do well this year, it wouldn't suprise me to see him decommit from bama and sign with us.

If it sticks the big pitcher is more important than one player.

who cares! just because you're a great athlete doesn't make you a great football player. Guy has been hyped up from day 1 due to his attributes and not because of his play on the field. I'm sure he will be a decent player at Bama but he is not elite unless you are him or his dad

He was probably in the bag for Alabama already and saban had him go public today to piss on any good feelings from the game last night.

He obviously never cared for LSU or Louisiana. Otherwise why do it now? Fair enough if he waited to see who the next coach was and thought his best career would be elsewhere. But considering the program and fans are very emotional at the moment, not only about this football team but the actual problems that have occurred in the state itself recently. If I was coach O or Aranda right now, I say goodbye to Moses and close the book. One less player they have to waste their time on now and focus their time on someone who wants to represent the state of Louisiana.

Figured once Miles was fired, this would happen.

At some point, a head coaching change was needed and when that happens, you lose recruits.

You take the chance with your recruits or continue to be stale with the same head coach.

Well it's a great choice, but LSU has 3 starters in the NFL at LB in Minter, Kwon, and Debo. Beckwith will be one next year and Key the year after.
