Do other teams really believe they are in the mix for decommits?

A lot of these recruits ie Moses who commit somewhere they are known to be strongly attached to by all accounts, suddenly decommit to "enjoy the process." Do coaches really buy this? Oh this kid who has been all LSU for example and still list LSU as his no1 but wants everyone to start rolling out the red carpet for him like he is suddenly open and it's everyone's ballgame.
Even I can see that it's not really the case and the kids just want as much as they can get. Do you guys think other schools really take it seriously? Why would I as a coach roll out the carpet and focus on a recruit who just wants a good time and in reality will never commit to you?
