re: DJ Chark - OV update

i think he redshirts bc he doesnt have a position ... in my mind. Yes he's a WR and will get a look there first but I think once he sees the ability to turn his talents into a DB and, better yet, do it at lsu .... the idea of being the next great corner will appease him

If you havent noticed the type of receiver Cam is looking for, it's the 6'2" - 6'6" possession ones. Chark looks like chevis jackson to me

Oh he's playing next season. With the amount of DBs and WRs we lost this offseason Chark will get on the field somehow. It could just be running down on kickoffs and punts but he's not redshirting.

you realize we have

robinson, white, jefferson, martin,mills,collins thompson,thomas then incoming (at least) paris, adams, battle on defense

offensively we have diarse, leslie, dural, spears, peterson, then incoming quinn, washington, upchurch

that's not bad depth, actually is pretty good

could also add malachi to that list of WR and or voohries to offense or defense

Looking at this pic, I figured his speed must be the difference.

I'm guessing he's winning state championships in track, right?

What's his 40?

He's listed at 4.4 on Rivals. You never know who recorded/ reported that time though. Nothing wrong with a redshirt to physically mature. We'll see how it all shakes out. Maybe he'll see the field on special teams.

I have seen him play, and I don't know his 40 time, but he has a lot of quickness, and the ability to change direction almost with ease. I think he could return punts and kickoffs within 2 years. If the size comes quickly, next year.

He looked like he had outstanding speed in one game I saw him play on Fox South I believe, back in October. He had an impressive punt return in that game as well.

I believe he can be a contributor, just not sure if it will be next season as a freshman.
