I hope you guys are right. Maybe this was the only way he could get Orgeron, Trooper, or Saban to buy him new phones and cars.

Just wondering why several of you are so confident he will be a tiger? Why commit and decommit. Couldn't he have still taken the trips while committed?

Exactly, those schools will continue to recruit him until signing day. I don't get it.

But, hopefully he looks around and realizes LSU is best for him.

meh...kids are flipped all the time...in a lot of situations, it probably makes them work harder if a kid is already committed.

edit: I'm not saying he goes elsewhere, but this is strange.

this is something academic. when he committed he said something along the lines of:
"I am as strong as a verbal commit can be. i would have waited if LSU decided to offer the day before signing day."

...he has no desire to go elsewhere

don't know what to make of this but he has a history of being a bit difficult. it seemed he had worked his way through this and now he commits and decommits within 2 weeks.

Knew this would come up...grades were never his problem. He lost all credits by transferring. He has a 3.3 GPA.

quote from 247 article when he committed:
quote:

With his commitment to the Tigers, does this end Williams’ recruitment process following four years of uncertainty?

“Absolutely, I’m done with all the recruiting stuff,” Williams said. “LSU is where I’ve always wanted to be, and now that I’m committed, there’s no reason to look at anything else. I just can’t wait to get to Baton Rouge and start working out with my team.”
