Prob got some neg fallback from his last announcement so he's saving some face. He said pretty clearly he wants to leave Louisiana. This is just part of the game.

you get more profile and will get more publicity (and that means possibly even a higher rating) if you play the "home state" school v. the school you really want to go for. the story is less notable if that drama is lacking
