Who from the 2011 classes at these schools is/are good enough to sign D-I or D-II baseball, football or softball scholarships? Last year Walker had 1 or 2, Live Oak 2 or 3 and Denham 5 or 6. The twin lineman and DB from Denham looked good in the red stick bowl, but I didn't see anything else football-wise and I know Walker & LO have nothing this year. In Baseball, Denham and Live Oak are supposed to have 2-3 decent 2011 pitchers this year. In Softball, LO is always strong with 1 or 2 signees a year and Denham is supposed to be strong this year. I suppose girls basketball could have a signee from Denham too! Any offers yet for any kids?

Zachary already has 2 2011 baseball signees - to ULL and Alabama - very impressive!

Walker has Carlton Perkins in Football and what he did was nothing short of impressive with absolutely NO offensive line or QB.

Walker will surprise people in baseball the next 2 years......and I'm not saying that just because my son plays for them as a Junior.

Kaleb Blanchard for DS is a stud......Madison Vige (Softball) at DS is a Junior and will sign with someone when she's done.

Denham baseball usually pumps out a few kids a year. I think they have a girl on basketball who will sign. They will likely have 2 or 3 football kids sign at small schools.

Also, walker will never be better than Denham in baseball. (former denham grad here lol)

Son made his own decision just before HS.....it was a few factors (Block Schedule, # of students, Baseball, etc)

My daughter will probably go to DS though.

They also have a sophomore guard on the basketball team that is super talented

Averaging around 15 a game and is playing pretty unselfishly.

When he actually looks to score he can fill it up.

Live Oak has Tyler McGrew for baseball. He will probably be drafted. Not sure how high. LSU and Southeastern are showing interest. He is the only one I know of from Live Oak.

Does he have a highlight video? Any potential offers? Have him get a 3-5 minute video to all six in-State I-AA schools, as well as D-II Delta State in MS and D-II Arkansas-Monticello, where a Walker LB just signed last year. I think D-II would be a good fit for him. Unfortunately, he was on a bad team, but he was their best player. I saw him play twice last year and he can play mid-small college ball. Good coaching will teach him to slash, etc. He has instincts. His hands and pass blocking skills are questioned, but as you imply, no one could throw to him at Walker and the backfield got flooded on passing downs, so they didn't pass much and he just got overrun.

Very impressive soph!

She will get offers after this season!

Any offers yet? Bossier Parish C.C. has him on their board, but have not offered...he would be a good fit at BPCC, where another Live Oak product had success a few years ago. McGrew has smarts, speed, good at-bats and hits well, but how is his arm. Can he pitch? To be looked at by D-I or D-II schools, regardless of your regular position, you should also pitch in HS and LO pitches a lot of kids. At the Parkview tourney, they literally pitched 10 guys in 3 games a couple years ago. Having said that, have him call Delta State though, D-II in MS, where a LO softball product currently plays. They may be interested. Baseball schollys are low money, which is why in-State with Topps is a good idea. Work BPCC and Delta State.

Your kidding right. Who told you that? That's Crazy. You do not have to pitch and play outfield to get a look at a D-I or D-II.

I have seen this kid play and his size is not an issue. 5'11" 185. How is that small for baseball? Do you know Tyler. Is that what him and his family are saying? No scholarship or draft will work out?

Your point is decent, but the best players in high school play other positions AND pitch, like the Nolas from Catholic, both LSU guys. Anyway, I do not know him, but LSU has made a bunch of offers, including several to local kids. I do want to see Livingston Parish kids succeed and he is one of the best natural athlete at LO from what folks out there tell me. If you know him, tell him to work BPCC and Delta State, as well as other CC's and D-II schools. Also, he needs a 2-3 minute video shot at practice...his coaches can help, whoever the current guy in that coaching carousel at Live Oak is. I don't know where draft talk came from and that would be awesome, but unless top several rounds, you are much better off going to college. Has a LO player been drafted in the last 10 or so years...that sees like a long shot and he isn't a pitcher. Of course, a monster year this year could help him with some of the in-state schools perhaps..I could see a possible fit at Nichols or McNeese.

No he is a sophomore... Same with Perkins at walker

Perkins is a legit athlete, maybe even a better pure athlete than Blanchard. Bur Blanchard has some intagibles and field vision that make him a special talent

And tyler Mcgrew is not small at all to play D-1. Half of LSU outfielders are under 6' tall
