I used to get a little upset when a kid decommitted, but with the portal and this head coach and staff, it will just be “on to the next.” We may not always replace them with an equal talent, but I’m sure we will replace them with character and best available talent. NIL is NIL and this stuff happens and we will benefit some and be hurt by others.

We can't rely off the portal like we did this past offseason our HC said as much.
Maybe we can't be complacent fans and donate to help our NIL vs wanting a bunch of ND type

Les went up to locate this Logan kid. When he got to the high school located the football coach. Asked about Bennie, the coach said Bennie was playing basketball in the gym. Les walks in, just in time to see Bennie, get the rebound, drive the length of the court and slam one through the rim. The coach said, “That’s him!”

These decommits smell like a ploy to push for Cadillac to head the head coaching gig. Former players bankrolling the NIL purse to force Auburn to hire Cadillac

Exactly, no one knows what is going on. Could be a million different reasons why these guys have changed their minds or maybe LSU changed their minds on taking them. Just relax, things will work out.

Honestly seemed like we should go for a DT who has some position flex to play nose. He seemed like more of a true defensive end to me.

I remember the Logan recruiting saga on this board. Not many had even heard of him, and the recruiting services had nothing. Only a couple of posters who had seen him play were highly impressed and hoping he would get an offer. Good thing Les did.

Said he wants to - and will - build the program with freshman but I don't think he'll hesitate to load up on transfers again if he believes they are the best option.

After what he did in the portal this, year, how could anybody think differently? Did anybody remember we were also in it for Jared Verse with FSU (41 tackles 14.5 TFLs 7.5 sacks 1 FR, 3 QB hurries, blocked punt, in 11 games)?

They could, they just won’t have to. They will be able to be more selective with it as the roster builds out

We won’t have to - as much. Last year we signed 15 HS recruits. This year we’ll sign 28-30. Will probably have 5-7 transfers in key spots (DL, CB, TE, DB)
