OK gonna clarify this ONCE AND FOR ALL. Davon ALWAYS was LSU's to lose. His second choice was Florida, Third choice was Florida State. Ole Miss had ABSOLUTELY no chance in this deal. Now as far as his mom not signing any papers, well there was ONE school she said she WOULD NEVER sign papers for him to go.
I commented on this very same subject on the SEC Recruiting Board when all the Ole Miss fans were bashing his mother. The night BEFORE NSD Davon was on the phone trying to sway Kenny Young to join him at LSU. He also talked to Malachi, I know this as fact because he called them on MY PHONE.
He did also call Florida to inform them of his decision to attend LSU, as I always told him, always try to do the right thing in life. Be Respectful, Be Honest, and Be Humble.

GeeOH-the times Davon talked to KY on the phone it was one thing and one thing only, he just flat out wanted to go out of state. LSU coaching staff did EVERYTHING humanely possible to keep him instate.
The kid just flat out wanted a change of scenery. If there was a second factor he didn't express that with Davon. It was ALWAYS about change.
