I worked 3 of his games throughout his HS career. TAMU got a good one. Wish LSU would've found a way to make the numbers work. Best of luck to him. Like others are saying, he is in the sub 6' range. He put PAHS on his back each time he took a snap from under center, one I'm looking forward to see how he develops.

LSU took what? 6 LBs in the 2012 class. Was only going to take 2-3 max in 2013. Claiborne was not in LSU's top 2-3.

Height a major factor. Also, he was playing QB but projected at Will or Mike LB at the next level. Some schools were probably recruiting more polished LBs, even though Claiborne did play some LB. The kid has leadership, intelligence, and work ethic though so he could still be a multi-year starter in the SEC.

Two of the LBs we signed in his class also played QB for their HS team. That was not a reason we didn't offer.

I know many of the PAHS staff, esp. Blanchard. He is most certainly not anti LSU, Wilson, or anything like that. Blanchard loves LSU.

As for Darian, LSU not offering is inexplicable. A&M got a good one and sadly, one that loves LSU.

It's very explicable. They felt that Jones, Beckwith, and Riley are better prospects hence getting offered over Claiborne. Very understandable for me.
