Speights was never the best LB in the pac 12, he had already played 4 years of college ball which usually means you aren’t that good if you’re transferring after 4 years and not going pro
The only reason this kid isn’t going pro is because he’s only played 2 years
He’ll be a jr next year. I’ve watched him plenty of times.

During Kelly’s beginning decade at ND, he only had three individuals with 1,000 yards rushing seasons.
Kelly knows what he wants to run, he took one of his former QB’s and groomed him into a OC, Tommy Rees.
Gave him a job as the QB coach, after three years, made him his OC. After three years, that OC got hired at bama by the little short guy.
After Kelly made Rees his OC, they went on to go 10-2, finish ranked #5 in the country. The following season Kelly and Rees had the Irish finish at 11-1.
Kelly knows what he wants in his offense, the addition of TE’s, gives him more of what he wants to do. That OL, I could run behind it and get a couple yards. Ok, the last part might be a little overreacting.
