A South Carolina staff person from 247 Said that Burch’s mom has been the influencer throughout his whole recruitment. He went so far to say that Burch’s mom is the deciding factor.

Inside sources from LSU on the 247 board, not Shea Sonny or Billy, say that Burch’s mom has reached out to O with the intention to sign with LSU. It is on record that the mom loves LSU not South Carolina.

The rule is that a legal guardian must sign off on an 18-year-old on the national letter of intent. If the recruit is 21 years or older, the legal guardian does not have to sign off per NCAA rules.

To make it more complicated the mom is the only legal guardian. This is why she interrupted the reporter and did not want her son to talk to the reporter. Because she does not want him to go to South Carolina.

None of this is premium content from 247 staff, it is me piecing a lot of information together from multiple boards.

You’re welcome on the update. It does not mean he will sign with LSU, maybe the mom would have a change of mind

From a parents perspective, If the kid wants to go to South Carolina, mom hopefully will respect his wishes as it should be his decision.

From an LSU fans perspective, I’d like to thank mom for her service

Whatever it takes. The need for a true 4-3 DE to usher in this new defensive era cannot be overstated.

If Jordan's heart isn't in BR with coach o then sign off on USCe.

I know this is a difficult decision for him.

If his friends are the it* factor that I tend to side with the mom because maybe she can the writing on the wall with Mushchamp. If he wants to stay home, rep his state and try to bring some sort of prominence to USCe then all the power to him and he should get his wish.
