Brandon showed a great burst of speed running. ball security and accuracy needs improvement.
tough loss for us and Brandon made some tough 4th down plays when he needed to. I would still put him behind the Mandeville QB, Tulane commit I think, who looks more college ready. stronger arm and pocket awareness, but this is just based on watching both games live. Brandon will get some great coaching up from Cam and be a great one I'm sure.

FWIW, I once watched Jameis Winston play a high school game when he was a junior and I couldn't figure what the buzz was about. He was very unimpressive that night. They all have good days and bad days.

So you would take the QB that didn't make plays on 4th down or do what it takes to win the game?

I guess LSU fans will just have to take Les' and Cam's evaluation on this. Wish the Mandeville QB great success at Tulane.

Yeah you gotta understand these guys are playing with a bunch of regular high school kids, so protection, execution, catching, etc is just not there sometimes.

Harris has the tools to be an all-timer here at LSU, and he is no doubt a winner. He needs to protect the football better but that will be acquired. I do think he's a guy that will need a year or two to take to college but after that the sky is the limit.

What kind of size does the Mandeville qb have?

Mandeville's QB is plenty big enough. He is outstanding.

Why is everybody jumping on this poster? He just made an assessment and didn't bash Harris or anything. Chill out.

rivals says 6'1"

Looks liek he floats a lot lot of balls. I woudl say he has enough arm strength, but not like BH from the limited sample size i have seen.

I love how people haven't seen Harris except in highlight films and go crazy about him. Dude is a great HS player right now. I've seen him back-to-back weeks and he was pretty spectacular against Zachary..he was mediocre at best against Covington. 2 fumbles in his own territory and an INT on a screen that was returned to the 1, and it was an AWFUL read on his part.

Does Parkway win that game without Brandon Harris? Not a chance. His scrambling ability literally won that game. The coaches also called basically no deep passes which I'm still baffled about so I don't think they really utilized him. Harris had roughly 100-120 yards passing probably. He isn't close to college ready in terms of starting. His running ability is outstanding, but Jennings is easily the starter at QB.

He will be great in 2-3 years, but if he's starting games for LSU next year, it's a long season

I've seen both play in person. Harris is better right now and has more upside as well. Harris didn't have his best game last night which is why everyone is even bringing these comparisons up. Harris will be a very good qb at LSU

I still don't understand how Covington made it that far. Ponchatoula handled them pretty easily. Acadiana stomped a mole hole in our butt and walked it dry. We will see what Brandon Harris is made of when they play Acadiana in the dome. Acadiana must have some serious athletes on their team. The coaches really like what they see in Brandon. I am sure that Coach Cam will help him become a solid quarterback.

Yeah, I never got the people saying Harris would be the starter this fall.

Way too raw. Loads of upside, though.

I don't think anyone expects him to come in and compete for a starting spot, but his athleticism, size, and arm strength are great. Cam will coach him up and 3 years from now who knows?

You're just angry you're team got beat. I've seen both and it's not even close. Harris has the stronger arm by a large stretch. Harris is bigger and faster and way more upside. I think I'll trust cam Cameron's opinion on the two over a fan who's upset his team got beat.
