Cole Kelly Vs. Patterson

So for the recruiting guru's, please explain to me the difference between Patterson's video and this kid.
I went to every one of his games (not related, but work with the program) and the only difference I see is that one is 6'7 and the other has been to many camps.
Kelly did not camp at all last summer.
Serious question, not trying to be smart.

If he goes to camps, he will be notice. Simple as that.

What's up Cole? You're a good player, no doubt. The biggest difference I see between you and Patterson is: footwork. Patterson has elite footwork in the pocket right now. You'll get there man. Keep working!

Calvary plays at Teurlings game 1 next year.

Yea. This is going to be a show. Both qb's are elite and we should see lots of points.

Check their offers...you'll see what those who make millions every year know.

Camps do a lot for offers. And I will.
No offer yet, he was on the sidelines for several LSU games this past year.
He has other sec interest now and as camps roll around my guess is more will come.

So Cole's been a member since he has 11 and just remembered how to log in and post?

I got it. At first I though that you knew it was him. Then I realized that you were using a tricky device to imply that he was actually Cole, and just disguising himself as another poster. Oh man, you are droll. And you really burned him sick! Needledicks like you pollute the board.

Yup! Patterson is elite because of his footwork in the pocket.
That is what stands out most to me.
Patterson had like 38 Passing TDS to only 3 INTs this past season. Not sure about Cole's stats, but that is quite ridiculous.
That is what separates him the most. His game is so fine tuned.

I've made this comparision before, but Cole Kelley looks exactly like Zach Gentry. He's 6'7 with mobility and a big arm. He already does some option stuff as well which will get him on board faster here.
Patterson is polished. He reminds me of a better version of Aaron Murray when he came out of high school.

Tiger, What are Kelly's feelings toward Lsu?

Actually that is something I don't know.
Like I said close to the program but not him.
Looking at the video again I do notice a difference in footwork. Also could be due to Kelly's height and stride that the footwork looks different.
The jump from his sophomore year to his senior year was tremendous. If he continues to progress at that rate he'll be outstanding.
As for stats. He played a 9 game season and didn't throw passes in the second half of 4 games. He threw for over 2400 yards, 62% completions, 28 td's to 8 ints. Not shabby in essentially 7 games.

Kelley has offers from Arkansas and ULL.
He won't visit until he decides what he wants to major in.
He should make a couple camps this year but his parents aren't involved in the recruiting game much and not sure they care how much exposure he gets.
He will also push for all-state in basketball this year as well.

I've heard Louisville as well.
The arkansas recruiting story is pretty funny. Kelly was pulled out of bb practice to throw for him and the recruiter spent a good bit of time in the phone. Kelly let one go that as the person who was there put it "whistled" as it left his hand.
The recruiter turned around and said, "We're done. I've heard everything I need to hear."
He's got a cannon for an arm no doubt.

Yeah the ULL offer came a couple weeks ago. He's got some personal hurdles to deal with. He needs to mature a good bit. I think he'd be better suited to go out of state. Arkansas would be a good fit.

I'm aware of the challenges and out of state may be best, I def think out of Lafayette would be good for him.
I'm rooting for the kid, no doubt.
We'll get to see Patterson first game of the season, but watching Kelly this past year I believe he's got as much or more upside than any QB in the nation. The sky is the limit for Kelly and I'd hate to see that much talent wasted.

You compared Cole Kelly's highlights to Shea Pattersons SOPHOMORE highlights? Come on now. Also people say he gets offers cause of camps....no you also have to produce on the field. Patterson has thrown 7 INT since playing high school football and has great stats against some of Louisianas best football teams. Kelly is good and I'm looking forward to next years game.

I've watched Kelley play since he was a kid. Huge arm and he's very very smart and understands the game.
With that said, Patterson is the better prospect right now bc his arm in on par and he moves much much better. Looking forward to see them both at the next level.

I think he will get a whole lot of attention this summer and fall. Teurlings is not a traditional passing team, so he's no "system" quarterback. I guess time will tell.
