Hes definitely going to have to do this. Its going to be tough with the negativity from our fanbase currently. Winning normally solves everything and hes going to have to win games to shut the critics up

The negativity of the fanbase is a direct byproduct of the horrible job he did last season. LSU, with the number 1 overall pick, was the ONLY team ranked in the coaches' preseason top-25 to NOT make the NCAA Tournament. Two of his top assistants left for seemingly "lesser" programs or at best, lateral positions: Patrick (TCU) and Pinkins (Texas Tech). His incoming recruiting class is ranked 50th in the nation (9th in the SEC alone). Every competing coach in America thinks he is a lame duck coach going into next season, and the staff defections only bolster that thought.
Where is this program going? Apathy has set back in and though I like Jones as a person and really wish he would do well, it's more than clear LSU has peaked with him as the coach. It's hard to sell a program that from all outward appearances looks to be going nowhere.

I took a team to peach jam one year, and the craziest thing happened. One of my player's parents got a little drunk late at night after the games and we were overlooking the Augusta National course. He had noticed a hole in the fence earlier that day. Long story short, he disappears for a while and we see him a few minutes later running down a fairway with a club in hand. He was being chased by security. Then another guard blindsides him and takes him out. We pick him up the next day from jail. Turns out he just wanted to hit one shot on the course. Spent 2 weeks in jail because of it.
Never forget him getting pile drived by that security guard.
