Basketball coaches inject themselves into recruitment way too often. I could be reading that situation all wrong, but it makes it seem to me like, along with Dickhead V's posts, Kentucky is making their "push."

I wouldn’t expect him to use Vitale to stop that 5 star player from committing elsewhere. Don’t think the timing of that tweet wasn’t suspicious.

Clearly there has been far too much smoke from far too many people who gather knowledge of such things to think there isn't "fire" that he will commit/sign with LSU. It's also clear as day that the other potential schools are doing what they can to change, or at least prolong that decision. At the very beginning of Dick's seemingly arbitrary level of hate towards Wade when all of this began I thought "maybe he's just a passionate guy who is unintentionally going a bit overboard on one particularly coach over a matter that involves many, many coaches throughout the nation." Now, it is abundantly clear that level of animosity towards Wade is coming from elsewhere and Vitale is just the mouthpiece.
If it wasn't clear before, then there is no doubt now. Wade has VERY CLEARLY pissed off at least one, and likely more, coaches (particularly in the SEC). His only "friend" seems to be Bruce Pearl. But you know what? frick them! They wouldn't shed a tear if they were kicking LSU's brains in year after year. So either get over it or get bent.

He managed to piss off just about the entire good old boy network of CBB back when he was at VCU. Now that he’s here, at a school with some money, a solid history, and a big national presence, they hate him even more because he’s a threat to their success because he can out recruit them. They can’t stand Wade. He never kissed the ring or played their stupid fricking games. Pearl’s the same way. Personally I love it.

All you have to do is look at his silent nature with the good ole boys. Pitino, who has done far worse than most, Coach K, Self, Roy. If you're a younger coach trying to change up the system, grandpa doesn't like it

Welcome to big boy college basketball. What is your deal to keep mentioning one and done? That’s not how this works. Good programs are happy to get guys that are possibly one and done even for that one year.
