He picked up 150 yards and 2 TD's against 6A Florida high school competition and looked pretty dominant doing it. If everything else was the exact same but he was a 5* you'd be hailing him as the next Derrius Guice

Why couldn't he run over SEC linebackers like he's doing in HS?

Guice did and can?? Dude they don't just stop developing once they get to LSU plus I think he could run over SEC LBers right now. Dudes got some serious power and toughness.

know I'm going to get downvoted, but this kid isn't LSU level, yeah he runs hard but overrated to me

Because you're looking for flashy, not solid. He's tough as hell

I do too. Reminds me of 5

Man U need to go watch 5's highlights from ANY year at Uhigh if u think this kid is that. I think he can be a good complimentary back but he is nowhere near 5. Not even the same kind of back and that's ok. He can still be a chain mover he just isn't as dynamic 5.

No one would or should be saying that. I don't care who he plays against he's not derrius guice. Just look at the tape. He isn't ware, he isn't guice and he isn't CEH. He can be himself and I'm not trying to slight him. If they want him then that's enough for me but he isn't them. I have no agenda. Go look at the tape on those 3 backs in high school.

No one said he isn't tough. He's obviously a hard nosed player.

Whoosh

ETA: how have you not noticed that Guice went to Catholic and not Uhigh yet in your super lengthy, detailed film breakdown sessions?

Kid is a Guice clone.

I'm not sure if he has that phone booth quickness that guice has but he definitely has the same desire not to be tackled.

Just like guice, he finds unconventional ways to stay on his feet and run through contact.

And what makes your words acurate- please enlighten us all. Or should I say please step away from the keyboard.

If he is not LSU level, is he on... uh....let me go to his recruiting page: Is he on the same level of Florida, Michigan (probably better there because they are big and slow up there right?) Tenn, USC, Clemson, Wisconsin, Miami,,,,oh there are more- Nebraska, North Carolina, Maryland, Oregon, Ole Miss, Rutgers, USF, Syracuse

And he is slow like quicksand at 4.6 forty in your mind right? Really, he looks and runs like Marshan Lynch who has that speed, and lets see Jeremy hill went between 4.6-4.7 but he only went on to play with the Bengals in the NFL.

Think before you post because its your assesment against all of these coaches and their recruiters included Dabo who bested Bama/Saban for the title last year. But you, "Blake the Kid" says he is not LSU level

His HS tape reminds me a lot of Darrell Willams. Searches for contact. Hard runner. Id take a Darrell Williams back in every class. Plays Hard. I don't recall any off field issues. If Curry truly was clock 4.6, that is plenty fast when people aren't really enjoying tackling you late in games. Not quite the burst or top end speed of Guice. However, when Curry had to make one cut in that video it was pretty damn quick. If he can catch well DBs won't like him 1v1. DW doesn't seem to catch well.

The 4.6 he clocked was right after recovering from an ankle injury. I have no doubt he will be faster by the end of this season. Not to mention with advanced conditioning he could shave a tenth off that time easy.
