Maybe he's really about to make the right decision? He weighs playing at LSU, be a hometown hero, instant playing time, best LB coach in the Country=high draft pick versus sign with the evil empire, be hated here forever, possibly get lost in the depth chart, average LB coach, maybe no nfl career with doors to Louisiana locked forever??? Seems like an easy flip to me?

It's what we have seen since Saban has started playing these little recruiting games late in the cycle. It became obvious with Hootie Jones.
Now everyone is scepticle with any kid that is committed to Alabama that is from Louisiana specifically.

Mathis is leaning bama, Bama has made a better offer than we did a few weeks back. I feel he is gone sadly.

Yep it's really sad and is why this board needs an overhaul. I just hope kids don't listen to many on here. Allen coming here might influence thier decision in the other way actually. Come play with another great player. I mean I get all the insecurity but it's really unnecessary, I hope y'all aren't grown arse men lol. I mean if that's the case then no great recruit would want to come play with this DL we have bc we have some studs now. It's ridiculous, look we will take who comes. We recruit everyone until it's over period. You spend your effort and time on all these guys and let them know that they are all wanted and are our priority, not limit yourself bc of Bama frick Bama!!! I'm sure glad we have coach O and staff all over this like I know they are. Hold that Tiger!

at the end of the day if we compete with bama and really compete then we will get recruits to stay if we beat them then we will get them to stay if we have a offense who can play up to these athletes skills and have them flourish in the college game they will come. last yr was a wasted but needed season, this yr will be a season of rebuilding and changing the culture and putting that greatness back into the program. we were about to become florida st with bobby Bowden and frank beamer with va. tech. players knew it fans knew it. now this yr players just wanna see if its going to change forreal or if we will be a 8 win team again. so this season is big!

This season is big but I don't think we necessarily have to beat everyone, what I do know is that LSU has to look different and compete with everyone, which we did all last year after Les was let go. That was with a makeshift staff in the middle of the season. If that doesn't tell you how strong LSU is idk what will. LSU is changing up how and who we recruit, all I see is positive change. Like I suspected Allen truly is torn, and will be a tiger IMO. If we get Allen to flip along with Phillips, and Gay to go with Queen we now have quality depth for Aranda which is huge. He can mix and match to really get after, confuse offenses. In college that's what it's about and Les couldn't understand that. Our offensive system is build very similar, it moves pieces around to make the defense move thier pieces which can slow them down or confuse. Even with veteran defense's this story can be very affective. Then you add the talent on this LSU squad you get some high flying, high scoring affairs. Sure wish Cam would reconsider bc he would have made this offense go from an 8 to a 10 immediately. But it's fine LSU will just have to pass more which is what we need to practice anyway and we still have some studs back there. Ducre will surprise folks IMO, now that we don't have that big back his roll will be extended IMO. We'll see but I think we are in for a great year. Let's finish this class with, Wilson, Chassion, Allen, Phillips, Gay, Mathis, and Travis E, then work their asses off in spring/summer and kick BYUs arse 42-9 to start the year! GT

It certainly seems that way. Allen is a bama lock and has been for some time. Now all of the sudden he might be wavering? What has changed? I'll tell you what has changed, LSU is in damn good shape on a few big time LBer prospects. So now Allen is wavering. Get real.
This is one of the oldest tricks in the book. Get a commit to troll another team to redirect their attention. Classic saban.
