This kid is extremely good and could start as a true freshman. What is a realistic percentage we could land him? I say 25% as of now

I'd say that, at this exact point in time, 5% if you're optimistic and around 1% if you're not. The number could jump up big time depending on where things go from here but it's a super long shot right now even though I don't think there's a single fan base in the nation that would appreciate Justin Fields as much as ours would

He wouldn't beat out Brennan next season

If he's willing to red shirt....33%. Give Brennan this year and next, then start getting some snaps as a red shirt freshman behind Brennan in his JR year. If Myles is as expected, he will be gone to the pros after that and it will be Fields job to lose. If not...we will have a quarterback competition.
The kids legit!

Damn't just really wish he could land here. Seriously this guy could legit start as a true freshman. The same way Brennan was here for like 2 months and jumped to 2nd string, I could see him beating Brennan out to start.

It wouldn't matter who started as I feel confident in both of their abilities as passers.

Yeah lets pitch the thought of a redshirt to the #1 player in the country. Lol, pure comedy.

He's on record as saying he doesn't mind red-shirting and learning the offense.

The positive is HE IS HERE! He took his first official visit to LSU.

We get to set the standard, the pace, for him and his parents. Leave them with a GREAT impression of LSU and see how it unfolds.

For those who keep saying he won't beat out Brennan, or he would have to sit behind him for two years and redshirt.

I don't think y'all understand how huge of a recruit Justin Feilds is. He'd be the highest rated recruit we've ever gotten. Higher than LF7, higher than Perrilloux.

I really wish this fan base would stop being so beholden to Myles for whatever reason y'all are doing so.

I've seen several Dawg posters say the same thing, or close, about him willing to sit back and learn, which may include redshirting.

very big positive step considering our position a month ago.

Seems those complaining about our offense in the BYU game "looking the same" aren't seeing the same thing us 'others', HS coaches, and certain recruits are.
