I bet they're going to be linking LSU threads all over BOL now saying how we "believe" he didn't have a "commitable" offer.

I'd put money on it he didn't have a commitable offer here. Just because you see that awesome list on Rivals, doesn't mean all those are offers. They get confused often in recruiting, tons of so called "offers". All the reports the past week have been saying is he didn't have one and his heart was at LSU. He moved his announcement time to make sure of this. I'm just saying, I would not be surprised, he will switch because of his ties. LSU might want to evaluate him in a camp, then offer him. I think if that happens, he'll be a Tiger, IMO.
My personal opinion on this is he was trying to force LSU's hand on a offer and didn't get one. But I have nothing to back that up obviously. I think this case he really didn't have a offer and its not a excuse as its always used...

I think you got a case of the LSU bias. Look, I hope you are right, but you might have your Tiger goggles on.

Well, all reports from pay info says otherwise. Look at the kid's LSU ties and distance. Is it really that hard to believe LSU didn't offer him?

Chad Lindsey announcing any moment - per BOL
Wasn't really a surprise, at least for me it didn't. I said he was going there in the thread other day. It was pretty obvious.
I wouldn't be surprised to see LSU get on him hard later and him switching his commit though.

if you think that trend will last in recruiting, its got to stop somewhere...

Everyone that bama so called "stole" away from LSU didn't have an offer from LSU at all or didn't get one until late in the recruiting process! We have nothing to worry about with BAMA! If there is someone that LSU wants, Miles and company will get them (i.e. Randle)!

Lindsey wasn't given an LSU option so he wasn't coming here except as a walkon.

We don't know that for sure. And what ESPN 150 prospect is going to walk on anywhere?
Posted on 4/6/09 at 11:50 am to FanInLA
...Wtf does him being a ESPN 150 prospect have anything to do with ANY school evaluating and offering him?
He was simply saying the only option LSU was giving him, at the time, was walk-on because he had NO offer. Of course hes not going to walk-on when he has ship offers from other places...

Miles is probably too busy out recruiting OL boneheads with grade problems to worry about the Chad Lindsey's of the world. No reason in the world this kid shouldn't have been signed, sealed and delivered to LSU.
BTW, did Lindsey have an offer from Texas? That's usually how you judge the quality of an OL in Texas. If he's really good, Texas will be all over him and it's unlikely the Longhorns would let him get away if he's really good.
Still pisses me off though..........

dude is a offensive guard. Unless he is alan fanecca or hutchinson, you can find another offensive guard.

He had a little interest from Texas.. no offer though AFAIK.

he had some switches here. We had a lb that switched to texas a&m, Pat white switched to west virginia. just off the top of my head.

Nobody said he was average dipshit. It could simply be because LSU didn't think he fit the scheme well or his size. Their is more things to evaluate than you think. What is his arm length/height? Does LSU think hes going to grow enough for what they want? What is his pass blocking ability? Technique? Is he slower laterally than what LSU wants? O-line is one of the hardest positions to evaluate.
So shut the frick up gump and stop trying to take stuff out of context.

it's more like, alabama, is run team, he's a good run blocker. L.S.U. does more spread, zone blocking/angle blocking.
Not saying l.s.u. didn't offer, don't know. He fits bama better. L.s.u. recruits tall, long, o lineman normally. he's more of a power guy.
