CFB early signing period decision put on hold

For another year.
@jeremycrabtree: Breaking: There will not be an #EarlySigningPeriod for #CFB. The Collegiate Commissioners Association has tabled decision for one year.

I still don't believe this will accomplish as much as the coaches believe it will

In theory the Early signing period is great and will be helpful to officially end the recruiting process for the 80% that are committed and stick with those commitments usually.
However looking deeper into the that extra 20%, it will cause coached and players to pay much more attention to the recruiting process while in season without that extra couple of months or month and a half after their FB season ends. It may not be good for the sport.

I agree with almost every thing you said, but it really is annoying when 3* players suddenly want to "look around". Everyone knows what recruiting is and how its played, it really I think helps every SEC schools because once you sign a kid and they get out of it, they cant go to another SEC school.
