Mintberry you sound pretty butthurt and please name some of these premier players WM recruits every year. Everyone of the guys that attending or that have attended LSU were born and raised in Wm aside from Brady James. WIll Blackwell, Jordan Allen, Paul Turner, KeKe Mingo and so on. Im sorry your team was beatdown by WM at some point. Get over it

I know Ouachita beat WM for like 13 years strt until 1995 and the Ouachita coaches were already gone by then and it wasn't long after that WM went on their run. I know they won one before that but as far as the big run Stone was the OC and Ainsworth and Shake were helping on the D side and then Mo came on to help at WR. I know Sanders got them going on the strength side and Arledge is a genius but to say they didn't get help from Ouachita coaches would be total shite.

I wasn't trying to say they didn't get help from Ouachita coaches at all. Nelson was my coach while at WM. Stone is my neighbor. Talk to Shake several times a year. Love'em all.

I think he's referring to cases such as James, the Wright kid from Ouachita, I think Banks came over from OCS, the kid from St. Freds, Ensminger raised some eyebrows and most recently Taka High from Neville. There may be more but I can't recall off the top of my head. Also I think he's referring to these kids that leave other schools to come to Wm and not the good players that were already there.

Tommy Banks came from OCS as a freshman, but lived in Briarcliff forever. DJ Banks came from St Fred's but lived in WM for a decade prior. Wright came from Ouachita because a coach called him a n word. Now Taka, I have no clue about and wondered why he left Neville as well.

funny thing about these transfers over the years...they get new jobs and MOVE to wm...people get new jobs all the time in the areas that they live but they dont move...all wm recruits parents get new jobs AND move...and you forgot to name mcconathy, greer and kid from union parish. ...dj banks went to lee with my daughter ...have to admit its been awhile since wm got a major transfer. taka wasnt even a starter at neville (football)

I knew there were a couple I was forgetting. The part that gets me is when I hear,"they lived in WM prior." That's great and all but it's odd that they weren't attending WM until they became known players at other schools.

West Monroe doesn't have to recruit players. It may seem strange that some area players decide to leave their schools or move into the West Monroe school district. The fact is that WMHS is great school academically and athletically. The Monroe city school system is pathetic and its only getting worse. Its not the parents or players fault for wanting their child to attend a better school.

Got some bad news for you nevilletiger79. Just got a text that the QB, 2 backs, and a FB/LB from Lee's undefeated 8th grade team have transferred to Ouachita for their freshman year. The QB looked like Vick last year on the news. Aaron Dietrich was gushing over him and how he was the next Diarse for the Tigers.

Oh...but WM is the only school kids transfer to in the state...

How quickly you Neville folks forget...should I bring up Jamond Collins? Seems like he played a pretty pivotal role on last year's state championship team. Where did he come from?

WM (as well as Ouachita & Neville) gets some kids & loses some kids every year. In baseball, WM just lost their best pitcher (who will be a JR this year) to Ruston. It is a case that is very similar to the Taka High case, but he will be ruled eligible simply because WM is not going to go around crying about it. Vidrine (Neville principal & new LHSAA president) took the High transfer personal & made it his sole purpose to make sure he was ruled ineligible.
