Brian Kelly sounded confident about Ricks in his presser earlier today

Reporter asks question about any of our safety recruits switching over to corner.
Kelly: "No, I think we've addressed it. We feel really comfortable that when recruiting has completed, and it hasn't completed totally for us yet, we feel like we're gonna be at the numbers we wanted to be at the cornerback position."
I took that as a confidence about landing Ricks tomorrow. Obviously things can change up to the last minute, but I wouldn't necessarily count us out just yet.
ETA: Colin Hurley is tweeting at Desmond right now

He also talked over the weekend how wide the net was that LSU successfully recruited a player from California [until we didn't].
Full press by LSU's top defensive players to Ricks [Perkins, Smith, etc.] may help slow Ricks to pause one more time to consider.

Never heard of her until this thread. Beat writers aren't supposed to be fans. I wouldn't get angry with her trying to get a rise (pun intended) - it's her job. Paul Finebaum's 1st journalist gig was a beat writer for LSU out of Shreveport IIRC. He still hates us today.
