Boys from the Boot

Approximately 25 hand-picked juniors from Louisiana high schools and their families attended on unofficial visits to give them a feel for LSU before the real recruiting process begins. LSU will host as many as 100 juniors on its Junior Day weekend Feb. 4-5.
"This is something (LSU recruiting coordinator) Frank Wilson started this year, " said Shea Dixon, managing editor of Scout's Tigersportsdigest.com recruiting site. "This is a way to jump on the juniors and get to know them and their families on a person level."

I like getting kids from Cali, Texas, and Florida (among others) but I LOVE getting Louisiana players. There the ones that make the big plays in big games because it means something a little bit more to them. Frank Wilson, and the entire staff is just doing a great job. I mean we are set talent wise for quite some time in the future
