Sumlin is probably gone after this year, so it helps us a lot that he's going ATM instead of UT, but then again if Hamm said he's about to flip then expect him to somehow figure out how to skip a year and enroll at LSU this January.

I think Sumlin still has a steep buy out after this year. Maybe like 10 million. Even if the Aggies have their normal 5 lost season or worse a 6 lost season I still see Sumlin staying one more season.

He's a lame duck and won't be able to recruit if they just wait one year. They either have to fire him or extend him after this season.

10 million is peanuts to a&m

Those predictions were made after he committed to LSU. Plus you can only put in a CB pick to school other than the one the player is committed to. If I am correct in this, I don't see what the big deal is.

Correct. They were made in the last two weeks, 6 months after he committed to LSU and right around him attending Texas A&M Junior Day.

This is correct, too.

It might be nothing, but it's probably due to him having a really good time at A&M Junior day and either giving them a silent or hinting to someone that he's strongly considering flipping.

Check out his timeline on 247. He's taken 3 visits to A&M this year. It could be nothing, but there seems to be some smoke there. LINK

I'll trade Green going to A&M if it means we get more TAMU led Sumlin. That guy is a fricking joke.

The last thing LSU needs is a good coach taking over that program.

I don't think Sumlin is a joke, man, he's beaten everybody else except LSU which just seems to have his number. It be's that way, some teams just have a hold on you, but this guy is a really good offensive coach, always has been, his problem is defense, and he hired the wrong guy to fix it. But Sumlin has had A&M competitive since they have been in the SEC, they can score and put points up on anybody except LSU.

2012 was great (a team he didn't build) but its been shite since then. A&M has more resources than they know what to do with.

A&M will be 3-4 win SEC team as long as he is there.

I can't argue against that because he will be and continue to be a .500 coach in the brutal SEC west. You have to have defense in that league and division to win and he just seems to not know how to hire a really good DC. If he had a really good DC that had that defense playing at a high level like the LSU's and Alabama's, he would compete with those two really good because the one thing he does know is offense. He's good at recruiting offensive weapons like Kirk and the kid that just signed with the Rams I think as a No 1 pick at WR. He gets good talent at RB, Ford has been an effective RB for them, TE or whatever offensive position. He knows offense, but you're right, if he doesn't get it turned around on defense he won't be there much longer.
