The inaugural Louisiana Bootleggers Invitational 7v7 tournament is coming to town next weekend, April 17, at Northlake Christian in Covington. All the state's top skill players will be competing against the region's best. Just got the rosters from some teams and WHOA! The event is going to be stacked. The school is charging a $5 entry fee for the public, but it will be worth it.

Been working with my buddies in south Florida to bring them up and it was finalized today. It will be a team assembled from the Florida Fire (2014 National Champs), South Florida Express (2-time national champs) and Strong Arm (current Florida regional champions) for one super squad. Their team features Asante Samuels Jr., Pat Surtain Jr., Jerry Jeudy and Stanford Samuels, to name a handful.

Top teams from Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and even Cam Newton's Georgia team are scheduled to make it in. You guys should come see the action. It's far different than many would believe as the competition level is through the roof. There will also be caterers on hand serving good old Louisiana cuisine (Mr. Fulton's famous jambalaya). Bring the family and check it out.

Strong arm has a track team that is pretty insane for the youth level. Bump this closer to the event.

I wish the LHSAA would mandate no baseball games on Saturday. It makes it almost impossible for baseball players to attend anything during the Spring. Even when they get to attend a camp on Sunday, they played a doubleheader the day before.

You were busy. You probably saw my kid he ended up on the field with y'all. I was just chilling in the stands eating up the jambalaya.

Glad you did what you did when you fussed at that guy. Great teaching moment.

if smith doesn't get clubbed in the nose in the endzone, y'all take that one.

What was Kendall jones doing there? Kind of random to see such a huge guy just hanging out at a skill position event

I was sitting by a lot of the Florida parents. They were talking about the lsu trip. I guess the Texas team made a pass through Tuscaloosa. That would make sense he caught a ride.

ETA who is #2 on the bootleggers?
