While I love Paris. He is Tiger of the Year already but TQuinn deserves 5. Seriously think Beckham Green would have only had 4? Quinn beat his record...

But I already love Edward Paris, esquire!!!

I personally think Fournette should be a 6 star. I believe character should be factored into ratings and evaluations.

I think Tony has more upside but right now Paris is quite a bit better than Brown.

I love that Paris committed and I wouldn't trade him for the world.

That being said TB is the best DB I've seen this year.
Them playing together will make a defensive backfield that quarterbacks will fear..a lot!

Quinn isn't a head scratcher. He has been to few camps. Most highly ranked players show out in camps.

There's something to be said for evaluating players more highly based on camp success. It allows scouts to watch the players perform position-specific drills, watch how they take coaching, see real measurements, and watch how they compete against a more level playing field.

Well some think that LA has the best talent of any other state and LSU shouldnt lose games. So in that regard, quinn breaks records against LA high schools and a camp is supposed to be a more level playing field?

Quinn beat Megatron's HS numbers too...think Quinn should be rated as high as him? Have you seen Beckham-Green? That guy is a monster! Take off the P&G glasses, will ya!

BTW, I don't want to be pilloried on here, but I notice that this thread is all posts about LSU commits rated too low interrupted occasionally by one saying another team's commit is rated too high.

Some guy on ESPN (Jesse Palmer, I believe) stated as fact yesterday that if Bama offers someone the recruiting sites immediately give them a multi-star bump. Said they trust Bama's talent evaluators more than their own.

What a great business model that is. Just have Bama email their latest evaluations every couple of days and fire all of your own staff.

It's nearly an all profit business.

This thread gets started every week it seems like. Quinn has not been racially profiled by the recruiting sites, come on. Is he rated lower than he should be? Yes, #17 best WR according to 247 IIRC. 17 Seems very low, but 5*? No. He would have to be top 5 or 6 WR in the country for that. Id put him at like 10-12.

I've said it before. He is great at a lot of things, but unfortunately those things are the skills that most WRs have (hands, route running, speed). He doesn't have the things that truly separate very good WRs from great WRs (size, elusiveness/YAC ability, and athleticism). And by athleticism I don't mean he's not a good athlete, or he can't run or jump well cause that's obviously wrong. I mean ability to stop on a dime and make ridiculous cuts a la Jarvis Landry.

Gamble is being racially profiled because he is a black kicker

He is easily a 5*

Agreed. Right now Ed Paris is a better corner with pads on in between the lines than Tony Brown. Brown will be great but right now Ed is way more polished
