I know him very well too. My son has gone to school with him for years. He will play in college regardless of any early draft potential he may get! He's a Tiger thru and thru!

easy to say that now

if he's in the 1st round and a team throws down a million to him, anything can change

That's very true and could happen but I feel pretty confident he will want the college experience. Very grounded and humble player!

Started last year as a freshman on Catholic's state championship team.

This kid is an absolute stud. Had 3-4 home runs last year as a freshman SS batting lead off. His defense was impeccable. Huge pickup for LSU and he will get to campus.

how does one start as a freshman without living in the "district". If this is the same kid from central?

Yes he is from Central. Pretty sure Catholic's "district" stretches out that far!

You did know that the new Central Thruway was funded by Catholic High right??? LOL!

that would be incorrect, after doing some quick searches i assume this rule was used:

If a student does not have a LHSAA designated private school in his or her district (based on physical address), and chooses to attend a private school they become immediately eligible for athletic play. Central Private being apart of the Mississippi Private school association brings this rule into play, i assume. These are not direct quotes from lhsaa, just paraphrasing
