Bama Hurricane Sign

If you are a recruit from Louisiana (especially south Louisiana) how does this sign not forever enrage you?! I understand if a kid wants to go to Miami (Ed reed) for south beach, LA for Hollywood (Joe McKnight) etc....but why Tuscaloosa when their fans hate south Louisiana? if they are good and want to be developed LSU can put you in the NFL just as good. You can def win some jewelery at Bama but is it worth selling out for?
Landon Collins and his brother will always be seen as guys who went to the other school and that school hates everything about where these kids come from. Not everyone but a good bit.
I would imagine the sign would ignite a fire in some of our star athletes from south Louisiana to come to LSU......or Auburn.

I Would say that black athletes living in Miss still go to Ole Miss....the time of in your face racism isn't the same and a lot of the student body are African American so the times have changed.
But the current student body at Alabama currently are offensive towards a specific group of people from South Louisiana...so I think it's more present than your analogy. I don't think a lot of kids (students or athletes) from Louisiana are just dying to move to Alabama. So why would an African American athlete from South Louisiana put himself over there amongst that divisiveness?

IT SHOULD BE SENT IN A COMPLETE DOSSIER WITH EVERY RACIST ARTICLE ABOUT BAMA FROM LAST 5 YEARS TO EVERY RECRUIT. IN THE 80'S Mississippi State used to send that to every black kid considering Ole Miss basically saying they were Uncle Tom if they went there. Used to send my Ole man into orbit. (LOL)

While I agree in theory, it's not like it got a bunch of media exposure so they might not even know.
Plus, if they were thinking about going to bama then it's not like they are overwhelmed with state pride in the first place. Bama being bama probably won't sway them.

Maybe they love the fact that in America people are (or used to be) allowed to say whatever they want even if it is insensitive and offending. Maybe they understand that it was done by fanatics of LSU's rivals that were doing it for attention and without true malice.

So you want to defend their right to hang up such a banner, but not other people's right to say it's fricked up?

If I'm a coach at LSU I would recruit the kids from south Louisiana with being proud and passionate about what it means to come out of Katrina and represent the boot. All of the after football opportunities present themselves just like you would have at any of the top tiered SEC school.
If you are really gifted Athlete Ibunderstand scheme has a lot to do with it....but minus QB we are putting players in the NFL yearly

So a sign from an idiot fan should prohibit someone from living their dreams....disagree. Choose LSU because it is the best decision for athlete, family and future.

So, my response was from the point of view of a LA student-athlete based on the OP's question: "If you are a recruit from Louisiana (especially south Louisiana) how does this sign not forever enrage you?!" Yet you interpret it as I am defending a Bama fans' right to hang the sign and not people's right to criticize them?
This is typical of today's society where people feel the need comment just for the sake of commenting even though their point of view has nothing to do about the topic at hand. Nice reading comprehension skills.
