Damn, how far West Monroe has fallen!

Do you really think this is true? Or do you not realize that Shows seemingly begged LSU to be more aggressive here, and that LSU seems to have lost interest (for whatever reason) in the WM program. TCU now has 3 defensive linemen on their roster from WM. Chucky Hunter could absolutely have played a lot at LSU last year and in the future - we'll see how the other 2 develop. Years ago, LSU basically had their own office on campus at WM. Not anymore, and it's not WMs fault.

Not on the ledge, just pointing out facts.

We're doing damn fine in recruiting just as we are. Show a program that has recruited better the last 10 years. It doesn't exist.

Honestly I really don't give a damn about the last 10years because the first 5 of those 10yrs none of those recruits are playing for LSU. I give a damn about the last 5 years those are all that count at this point. And for the last 5 years Bama has blown everyone away in recruiting, 2nd is a distant 2nd. Just in the last 3 years they have had the #1 recruiting class each year.

It's all gonna be ok.

Didn't say it is not going to be ok. I said we could do things better. If you don't think we can do things better than debating with you makes no sense because you are one of the homers that thinks LSU can do no wrong. When the facts are everyone can do things better, how much better depends on how they are doing now.

Do you not see the correlation between Alabama having the #1 recruiting class in 3 of the last 3 years and 4 of the last 5 years, with the fact that they have won 3 of the past 4 BCS national championships? Are do you think that is just f*cking coincidence?

Here are some facts to chew on. In 2011 Bama spent $981,000 on football recruiting, LSU spent $302,000. So in that year alone Bama spent more than 3 times what LSU spent. And I hope this is not shocking but they brought in the #1 recruiting class that year. Obviously what Bama is doing works, they have the hardware to prove it.

What is wrong with trying to compete a little smarter and spend a little more in the process. It is not like our athletic department can't afford it, it definitely can. It is also not like our Football department doesn't bring in the revenue to afford it, that same year they brought in over $68mil.

Going out and negative recruiting coaches and handlers that have formed relationships with certain kids over years could backfire on the LSU staff, but there's nothing wrong with pointing out their ulterior motives on here.

There's a lot of people on this site who have a lot of connections with high schools around the state. People with Alabama ties shouldn't be hard to spot, especially if they have coaching positions. Put their names on here. Hell put their names on the OT!

very valid points.

Thanks for the insight, great post. Be prepared, all the posi-tigers that see no wrong will beg to differ with you though.

That correlation is stupid. Top 5 recruiting classes put you in the mix to be in the NC, absolutely.

Actually winning them has way more to do with fortune than you may want to believe.

Look I am not denying Bama has had a lot of luck "2012" and a VERY, VERY favorable SEC schedule. Hmmm I wonder who they have to pay, oops sorry I meant thank for that.

But the simple facts are they are out recruiting everyone plain and simple. Again they had the #1 recruiting class in 4 of the past 5 years and as of right now they are ranked #1 again this year.

I just think we need to get smarter about recruiting and spend more money in doing so. I mean if they were spending 900k and we were spending 800k, alright no big deal. But when they are spending 333% more than we are, you can't see a problem there?

By the way that correlation is not stupid, having the talent to go out and win football games has everything to do with it. Having the #1 recruiting class in the nation 4 of the past 5 years would theoretically mean, they have the best talent in the nation collectively. That is what having the top recruiting class means.

Dudebro, your post is right on! Some of the dumbasses on this board don't understand that you win championships with 5 star recruits, not walk-ons.

Fight fire with fire.

For starters, Republican State Senator Mike Walsworth should probably be informed about Guice, and his suspension. This guy was at the ceremony, but does he know about the shenanigans? ( LINK)

Contacting the members of the Ouachita Parish School Board wouldn't hurt. Tax payers have a right to be heard. ( LINK). Hell, if I lived in the parish I would go to a school board meeting and find out what is what.

If you want to go further, voice your displeasure to Victory Sports Academy. They have a guy on staff with questionable ethics who is instructing young people ( LINK).

This cancer is operable.

I know him pretty well. He went to Wossman in Monroe . During one of those years he tried to transfer to WM but had to come back because it was later found out that they had recruited him. Why they recruited him I don't know but he was the 4th RB on the depth chart. This guy is really not his own person. He has always wanted to be like somebody else. I remember when Derrick Zimmerman was at Wossman guess who he wanted to be like. Then he jumped from one dick to the next and want to be like D'antris Capers. The moral of the story is that he will go with whatever is going good.
