With his offical visit approaching just wonder if there is any NEW news out there on his intentions.

This is what Jimmy said regarding Hootie:
"It's so hard to say...I have been back and forth on this awhile. LSU feels good as does Alabama. His mother dragging her heels would make a huge statement to me if he wasn't so determined to get her to go."
That's all I've seen lately. No one is even sure if he will visit Bama again.

Is he close to any of the LSU recruits? i know he played at Neville with Diars but there doesnt seem to be a 'real' friendship there. He mentions friends at Bama all the time. Wish someone on the LSU side would get to this kid like Ed paris or somebody like that.

the best thing we can do as a fanbase is show up loud and proud saturday afternoon.
The passion of our fanbase, when at it's high, is one of the greatest selling points of LSU. We may not have the size stadium as an Ohio State or Michigan(yet) but I'd put my money on us being as loud as any of those stadiums when they're chalk full
We show up, we scream, we stay THE WHOLE GAME (wishful thinking) and that should and will sway anyone on the fence.
As a fanbase, that's the biggest service we can do to our school. If we want the players it takes to compete for national championships, we have to treat these games like such... like the coonass, cajun, crazy people we are.
LSU staff and academic center will take care of itself. Let's make Mrs. Jones and all the recruits parents see what we are all about

Saban is a great recruiter and will use every resource to get the players he wants...including but not limited to making his current players call recruits EVERY DAY of the week.
Diarse has already been quoted by Hootie in saying that he wants Hootie to go wherever and do whatever is best for him. That to me sounds like a "real friend" over someone who will call everyday to recruit.

You can look at it that way. I would want my 'real' friend to come and enjoy what is going on at LSU and try to sell the place to him every chance i got.

being repetitive can be very annoying...knowing hootie, he doesn't respond well to that anyway
