he didn't feel the need to represent the great state of Louisiana on the next level.....

so hopefully we make him regret it with each meeting

IMO its even less likely after the embarassment at Ole Miss.

I wouldnt be suprised if this might make LSU a little bit less attractive to some of the recruits on the fence.

To me, its kinda like finding out a really hot chick just had chlamydia. You have to ask yourself, do you still want to go there????

I know his HC, and he's very close with Trooper Taylor. That wasn't just a recruiting quote.

Additionally, he really is enamored with Auburn's fan support compared to LSU's.

Actually, with this total meltdown over the Ole Miss game how can you disagree.

Fans support after a terrible lose is more important in my opinion than after a win, at least in a recruit and his parents mind.

Living in Atlanta I know a lot of Auburn fans and they do support their school and rarely even if the coach has done a horrible job do you hear them calling him names.

As hard as it is to say, but Chizik will have this program back quickly.

:fail:

Recruits notice booing and empty seats at halftime. His official visit took place in a rain game at Auburn and everyone stayed.

IMO it would be too hard for him to turn back on his commitment because he did it on his moms birthday. It was an emotional moment for him and his entire family enjoyed the trip to Auburn. I think he brought something like 11 family members on one of the trips. Also LSU doesn't need him like we do.

I don't think that is neccesarily true. I have been to my share of both AU and LSU games in BR (and not just when they play AU). Both schools have great support from their fan base that are second to none and I dont think you can say one is better than the other. Every school is going to have its share of naysayers in the bad times (especially when you get spoiled like lsu fans have winning two bcs titles in the last decade)and I think most recruits understand that.

I think Reed had a really good relationship with Taylor like you said and really enjoyed his visits to AU and got along with the players/coaches. He also felt he could play earlier at AU than LSU which I believe is true.

I agree. We just have a bigger megaphone (TD.com) than the other schools.

This is true. As much fun as an AU TD would be it would be a blessing and a curse for sure. As much as I hate to pay for premium boards at least recruits have to pay to see how dumb some of our fans can be. Plus most bama fans cant afford it...you cant put a price tag on being bammer free.

Yeah keeping the vast unwashed off of the boards with a fee is definitely nice.
