108 yds rushing w/2 rushing td's. 15-23 for 191 yds and a td. 21 yd td rec on a throwback pass. Lost a fumble late in own territory that iced it for Newnan. Newnan 38 Marietta 29. Pretty damn good season debut against a Georgia powerhouse.

He could have taken over that game, but played somewhat tentative coming back. Alot of it was terrible coaching, as well, but he's got some potential. That one fumble really cost them...that and a terrible kicker.

That pass was right on the money on the post/slant and stonehands just dropped it.

Jennings looked great as far as pocket awareness. He made a lot of plays out of nothing.

Yeah, Marietta ain't what they used to be, and Newnan is usually hell on wheels out here. I think Marietta only won 4 or 5 last yr. the last time they were upper echelon was when they had former Clemson speed back Travis Zachery. I posted the stats before I saw the link to the game. It wasn't televised on the Atl cable market.

65% completion and 8.3 yards per attempt. Pretty solid numbers against a good team

Ah, an Indian. I went to North Gwinnett. Before they were good. In my day, we were the token homecoming game for everyone.

Lot of Tiger fans from the Cobb County area ... I was born in Marietta at Kennestone Hospital and lived in Smyrna till 10. Moved to Louisiana after that then went to LSU and the rest is history. All my family on both of my parents side still live in the Smyrna, Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth area.
