quote:

“That visit definitely put them up there. It sealed the deal,” Cook said. “It made me realize that LSU is every bit of what people said LSU is. They’re ‘DBU,’ and I feel like being a defensive back you can’t leave LSU out of your top schools because of the success they’ve had. When I got there, it sealed the deal — no ifs, ands or buts.”

quote:

“My first time out there, it was amazing. It was one of the top visits I’ve taken in my whole high school career. The culture at LSU, seeing how guys operate around there, the standards, ‘DBU’ and the culture of ‘DBU’ … LSU is ‘DBU’ and the standard they hold you to was amazing to be around.”

Really hope we can get this kid. Him teamed up with Surtain Jr. becomes instant no fly zone.

Clearly he's incredible and a take, but damn, we need RBs to start saying shite like this

The RB recruiting is crazy. We have several RBs in the league, a top 5-ish pick RB tonight, and a leading Heisman candidate RB coming this year. Add the favorable depth chart and I'm not sure what else we could possibly do.

ETA didn't mean to derail. Anthony Cook would be an incredible get for DBU

The only running back that is talking like this is worried that he is going to grow to be to tall to be a running back (Harold Joiner).

Yeah, but all but one or two of those guys are LA natives. After years of: Williams, Scott, Hillard, Blue, Hill, Fournette, Guice, Louisiana is in a RB "drought" for the moment.

Gonna be a real tough pull. Texas, Clemson, and Ohio State are all over him. I have a hard time seeing him getting on board if we hold onto Joseph and add Surtain. Same issue with Jalen Green.

I don't see that as a problem being a former DB myself. You never run from competition because you want that competition to make you better. You want to prove to these guys that you are not only as good as them, but better as well proving it to yourself. And if you're LSU or Corey Raymond you want all these guys, just call me greedy.

It has to be so awkward for Texas desperately trying to hold onto DBU when every recruit not committed to them knows it's LSU

With 2 DB's taken in the 1st. round last night I don't think we will have a problem getting the top DB's in this class to come to LSU

ESPN and every other media outlet can try to justify tOSU or UF, etc., but the players and recruits know the truth. They see it with their own eyes from the only way that matters and not the way the media tries to define it.

Players play the position and see the outcomes. LSU is DBU, not because LSU says it, but because of these recruits year-in and year-out that know it.

There will be a year and I'm not sure when, but its coming. Every player drafted in round one, will be a defensive back from LSU - Colin Cowherd [yes, I know]
