Put down the Kool-Aide, boys. Not a Coach O hater in the least. In fact I like how decisive he is in correcting problems in the program (i.e. Matt Canada, Bo Pelini, James Cregg) and the disproportionate loss commitments is a problem. Every team deals with the growing problem because many kids don't understand the definition of "commitment" but I assume Orgeron offers scholarhips to players because he wants them on the team. About 20 former commitments ranked in the top 10 at their positions in high school left to play for the likes of Alabama, A&M, Texas, USC, Miami or Clemson. The degree to which they excelled there is a subjective judgement I'll leave up to you, but it's not good for the LSU program.

Coach Orgeron needs to curve this trend in his program.

It is silly. Half of these decommits were replaces by higher rated recruits. Of the other half, half eventually signed with us. Context matters.

Clemson has been in the playoffs for six straight years with two championships. I suspect that would not be the case if the program had lose 60 players to decommitments.

Alabama has not been in the playoffs 6 straight years. I suspect that if Alabama played in the ACC, that would not be the case.

What a F….g idiot, one of those losses was a arse-whupping in the National Championship to that very same Coach you are referring to. Please reframe from posting until you have proof read your post and have 2 witnesses to proof read and sign , these witnesses have to be Knowledgeable adults that actually know WTF you’re talking about.

Just my guess, but the time when a recruit was “loyal” to the school he committed to is a thing of the past now that players can officially be paid now.

Yet LSU just keeps moving along. Looks like you are Vols fan trolling here. If you are what you appear, then God have mercy on your soul. You have bigger problems than LSU could ever imagine.

It has also been mentioned that you may be a Clemson troll. If that’s true you too have bigger issues than LSU……Your coach should be resigning any day now. After all, the day college players are paid is the day Dabo stops coaching right????? Or is Dabo a liar???

Successful recruiting is not a matter of replacing those who decommit, it's continually adding quality players to the class. Four of the seven highest-ranked players who committed to the 2022 class are gone -- three to A&M, Texas and Miami. They won't back and that hurts the LSU program.

As for GeorgeousGeorge, Purple Tiger King, LSU Baller, DrewSimp 82, pbro2, Texas Tiger27, Keaux 10, Sissidog02 and Geaux2LSU; try putting together a coherent argument that adds to the discussion, and avoid the ad hominem insults. Look it up in the dictionary. The words are in alphabetical order.

True, I get that, sometimes LSU wants to move on from a player for what ever reason.

Sometimes its other reasons ... Maybe its a Honest change of heart by the player for whatever reason.

Im certainly happy we have a Early signing day, Too many kids were string the universities out til signing day in February.

Now its "you got a Scholarship now during the first signing period if you sign", can't promise you after that.. And Even more so with this Transfer portal.

When Newman wide receiver A.J. Johnson withdrew his commitment to be a member of LSU's 2022 football class, he became the eighth player to do so this year and the 60th player to decommit from Ed Orgeron's six recruiting classes. This is among the nation's worst records for keeping "committed" players on board. By comparison, Clemson has had three decommits in the same timeframe. I understand Clemson Coach Dabo Sweeny insists all commited players promise to take no visits to other schools and end the recruitment process. Coach Orgeron should consider doing the same.

The level of talent on this team is crazy.

Whatever O is doing, it is working

he usually gets a lot of them back or can replace them with equal or better talent. O has faults but recruiting really isn’t one of them
