Tried telling people in that other thread.

It's going to be hard to get him out of Texas. They are throwing everything at him.

I just hope baker has a backup plan.

Sucks unfortunately because he’s a game changer at the linebacker position. Murphy/ Washington seemed to be locked in with bama and Georgia. Maybe we kick the tires with Lathan but he doesn’t impress me enough. I’m sure new names will emerge it’ll just be interesting to watch.

Speaking objectively and realistically is frowned upon here

Perkins is just like Leigh all the eggs in the basket. They will go portal if they don't land him and Baker is the bust some of us expected as a recruiter. He didn't do shite at Miami but everyone here was clamoring for him.

Chalky keeps saying he is all A&M when Perkins own uncle videod himself tea sipping bourbon while they were running their mouth about LSU. And his mother gave the bye to the camera as they were mouthing off.

And for some reason Perks just keep coming back to LSU unannounced.

I believe it because all his friends are going to Texas A&M and everybody is caught up in the uncle being a big LSU fan and him being from New Orleans. I don’t believe the if he is going to LSU, he will be home. Him going to college station, he will have that familiarity having his friends there with him.

I kind of expected this with Baker and Davis. A lot of fans thought they would walk in here and start pulling 5 star LBs and OL in the first recruiting cycle. Maybe they close the deal on a big name or two. We'll see.

After last season LSU needs to put a solid product on the field with the players we have. If LBs show a significant improvement and the OL plays better the recruit will come. It's not unexpected that players are going to shy away until they see the progress.

Did he get credit for that? I haven't seen that confirmed anywhere. All LSU insiders only give credit to Baker landing Tolan.

Losing Murphy and Perkins and then settling for the portal doesn't seem like someone worth $500k.

I'm willing to see what he does coaching them up on the field this year. Clark and Baskerville have high praise for him. I'll see if it translates to on field production.
