Per Coppage's twitter.. He had spoke highly of Nebraska recently but I guess this means another Louisiana boy to A&M. If he was maybe an inch and a half or two inches taller, he would probly be a LSU tiger right now.

I know we have land our WRs in this class but I think missing out on this guy is a mistake. Height, speed, leaping ability, playmaker. But we can't take them all i guess

When A&M moves to the SEC is it going to piss off Arkansas that LSU/A&M will be more of a rivalry than LSU/Arkansas

I-10 recruiting from Houston to BR would be a dog fight

Wonder if Tank get's a "thank you" note from Miles for finding the kid?

Surely some of LSU's assistants feel pretty dumb; being instructed to run around behind the Aggie coaches - offering/pressuring these LA kids to switch commitments?

I just hope those kids that have their parents involved in the process know how much better men they will be after playing under Coach Sherman(AND his staff) than the liar at LSU. I don't think we have a chance with the young men that are basically on their own and "blinded by the lights" of their flagship.

As of right now it is. Look at how hard LSU has had to fight for in state recruits against A&M lately. They've won 100% (Devall TBD) but they weren't easy. If A&M were in the SEC it would be even better battles. And LSU would do better recruiting Texas for the same reason.

A&M owns Houston this year

DD wants to come to A&M, but LSU and SEC fans and/or people around him are pressuring him not to. Maybe he's waiting so they don't have time to mess with him after his commit

I agree that Bourque was much more than a pawn in this story. He got his Breaux Bridge buddy on the l$u roster. Good for him! He didn't Nelson us either, so no need for too much disdain.

The real storyline IMO is: good for us if Miles is willing to burn 2 ships at a time to deny us access to one single recruit.

w.r.t. aspersions casted towards the typical integrity of Louisiana recruits, that works in our favor too. A recruit who might not stick to his word is, effectively, not much different from a recruit who might not qualify academically. In a way completely unrelated to their talent and potential, they devalue themselves. Lower value = less competition for these recruits. No one, besides l$u or maybe the MS schools, is in a better position than us to contend with "Louisiana-grade" commitments.

Think of it as moving to TN and living next to a creek that's full of crawfish. People in TN don't know much about crawfish and "don't trust them." Well, you do know how to catch them and how to make them into a meal, and so you get free access to all the delicious crawfish you want for the rest of your life.

No it would not, but it would help A&M for kids from LA that dont have LSU offers. If a kid wants to play in the SEC and has offers from A&M (SEC) and LSU and he is from LA, he's going to LSU.

If a LA kid does not have an LSU offer but wants to play in the SEC, A&M being in the SEC would help with that recruit.

This means nothing, LSU had to fight bama when saban first arrived and minus a few crazy recruiting battles, LSU won them all. Look at how much bama comes into LA right now. They arent even recruiting LA that hard anymore, except for the big time guys. All the SEC that come into LA and lose on a consistent basis, you think A&M is gonna come in here and take our kids? It's not happening anymore than it does with other schools and that is very very very seldom.

You're speaking on a macro level. Recruiting is done on a micro level. Every kid is different. And if A&M is playing LSU every year it raises awareness of our program and what it has to offer to Louisiana kids. We will win a head2head occasionally if we were in the SEC. LSU would win most but not all.

Right..........that micro level is so focused and scary that 41-24 is still ringing in any recruits we wants ears.

You're over analyzing shite, kid.

A&M simply switching conferences is not going to make Louisiana kids want to go to A&M anymore over LSU than they do now.

Is Mike Sherman telling a LA recruit, "hey, we are in the SEC now" gonna make a kid from LA with an LSU offer turn his back on LSU?

I think it would help ya'll with LA kids that want to play in the SEC but dont have LSU offers. For exmaple, La kid has offers from MSU, Ole Miss, Ark, maybe Tennesse and A&M(SEC), you would have a better shot at these types of kids, since playing in the SEC is a draw for some kids. Has Arkansas moving to the SEC helped them jack any Louisiana kids from LSU? Outside of the NC contenders noone takes kids from LSU. And when you even consider those, a NC contending school might take ONE kid from LSU out of every TWENTY that they offer, actually probably closer to EIGHTY, maybe even NINETY, or 150!!

usetheforce, scoreboard. I get it. Keep posting it though.

Maxi, you're projecting. I'll project we go 14-0. Odds are it would normally be somewhere in the middle.

Tool, I'm not a kid. Not sure what about my posting gave you that impression. And we'll just have to agree to disagree on this issue since there's no way to prove what might or might not happen in the future

If A&M being in the SEC would help A&M get LA kids with LSU offers, then why cant ANY SEC school take kids from LSU on a consistent basis? And by consistent basis, I'm talking about 3 or 4 kids in the last TEN years (which is NOT consistent by any means, but I'll give you more wiggle room to base your argument). Also it is very very small considering these schools would usually offer 6 or 7 kids a year. I'm talking big time schools (UF and Bama), not Ole Miss, who may offer 15-20 a year. How many kids has UF taken from LSU in the last 10 years, with 2 NCs to boot? How many has Bama taken with Saban on thier staff? Ok, lets talk about UGA, USCe, MSU, Ole Miss, Arkansas. These guys aint taken our kids, and A&M aint taken our kids. It will happen eventually, lorenzo phillips to UF this year... but we are talking like 1 in every 100 offered like I said earlier and the difference between UF and A&M is pretty big.

My argument is based on history and facts, your arguemnt is based on speculation, what ifs, and possibilities.

I just don't see it helping you much, maybe A&M moves and we can find out for sure.
