89.00 3-star

Same rating as KJ Jefferson. Just barely missed being a 4-star.

Why exactly did we not push for KJ Jefferson? Guy is a freak.

He probably wants to be the favorite to start wherever he goes.

We were lucky to land someone as good as Swann while also having Nuss on the roster.

Because he’s not good.

Swann will likely be the highest rated QB in this portal class to not be the assumed starter.

That’s probably the best LSU could’ve hoped for.

Swann is being brought in to push & keep sharp, both Nuss and Collins

He would be brought in, only if needed (due to others getting injured, sick, suspended), to manage the offense…..not BE the offense (like JD5)

The staff must not be feeling too good about Rickey Collins.

It just means that Collins is going to be a red shirt freshman next year, & it's not smart to have him being the assumed backup.

Yeah, I was never that impressed with Collins. If I remember correctly, he initially committed to Purdue out of HS. His HS JR highlights are pretty meh. IMO, the only offers out of HS of note were LSU, FSU, WA, and OR. That is a pretty weak offer sheet for a supposed 4* QB...albeit a low 4*. I don't think he'll ever start a game for LSU and should be 3rd string going into the fall.

Depends where he goes. But he would’ve probably been the starter next year at UCLA. Not sure why he would leave to be a backup.

They love Collins. He's just not ready to start at QB.

LOL

2023 Heisman voting

1. Jayden Daniels, LSU
2. Michael Penix, Washington
3. Bo Nix, Oregon
4. Marvin Harrison, OSU
5. Jordan Travis, Florida State

So, he was offered by the schools with the top 4 QBs in the Heisman voting.

Because we are not looking for a guy that has 1 year. LSU has said multiple times they liked the QB room they had, but wanted to add some depth.

LSU was not promising high NIL or promises to start. Swann understands he is walking into a competition where Nuss has the leg up, but has a chance still.

Bruh, all 4 of these schools had QBs legitimately competing for the Heisman through week 10. Not saying you are dumb, but that post was.

I really hope I just took the bait, because that was a sig-worthy deep post.

You didn’t. He’s just that dumb.

Nothing worse than drive-by recruiting fans.
