What's the beef with Carter and LSU? Heard this morning on Fletch, that LA Tech and Southern Miss have a better chance at getting him than LSU.

He decommitted from UCLA to commit to us then decommited shortly after to flip back to UCLA, probably WE'RE the ones not happy about what happened. Now that he's out looking once again, I'm sure we're not playing nice this time.

LSU has always been a little iffy with Carter, not sure if they think he's good enough or not for SEC.
If he decommits or new staff doesn't want him at UCLA than I think those other schools will end up being where he goes.
LSU has bigger fish to fry but everyone wants LSU to sign all prospects from LA - it doesn't happen that way. You have to trust the evaluations of the LSU staff that know a lot more than random posters on Tigerdroppings.

He can absolutely play in this league, hence the offer and commitment. So there's more to it than that. However Joiner is much better imo. Hope we can lock Joiner down.

AJ Carter can play in the SEC, he was the best RB at camp when they had folks in, it's unfortunate he decided to flip to us then immediately decide it was a bad decision only to flip back to UCLA. Cost him his shot at playing for LSU.

What about the realistic numbers, and would you chose AJ Carter over Joiner and/or Pooka, based on limited spots?
