Who knows where he goes? His family is closest to Tenn. and wants him there. Florida may be trying to sell him on being a Percy Harvin type player and could probably give him more playing time. Both of those would certainly be bigger shockers than LSU.

Now, I may be biased, but if he wants to best position himself for NFL draft stock, LSU is the place to be. We certainly have the track record.

You think UF is a bigger shocker than LSU? Hmm. The professional guessers put the final between USC and UF.

i can't see how a guy of his talent would go all the way across the country to play for an awful offensive team like uf. add in a head coach whose job is at stake and i don't believe his parents will buy playing for uf. LSU vs. usc. no brainer!!

I can't see how this thought process is still alive. Look at all of the top recruits they've signed, and keep telling yourself that people don't want to play there. It may not make sense to you, but somehow it makes sense to them.

Adoree could be to LSU what Champ Bailey was for Georgia - a true offensive, defensive and special teams threat.

If he came to LSU, he would immediately replace Odell as the primary return option and would likely play extensively on both offense and defense.

Too bad Urban Myer is in Ohio.

And yeah, it's hard to understand why anyone would go to the dumpster fire that is UF right now. BUT plenty of highly recruited prospects have commited there this year.

A USC committment wouldn't surprise me at all.

A UF committment would puzzle me but not surprise me.

The fact that we were the only SEC school to get an OV has me very hopeful (I'm even hopeful that his proximaty to Arizona and watching PP7 and TM7 represent LSU have swayed him some). I'd be esstatic if he signed with us. But we don't pull in a lot of Cali kids (none until last year) so I'm not holding out too much hope.

not only that, but we were that "awful offensive team" two years ago.

Anyone read that LSU brought Todd Lane their track coach out to meet with Jackson? I got some comments on it on 247, but I'm not a subsriber.

Except they don't run the Offense Percy Harvin was in at Florida...Might as well say they're selling him on being a Wes Chandler/Fred Weary type player using this logic.

I heard, second hand of course, that our track team was not actively helping the football staff recruit him. If I was misinformed, I'm ecstatic - nobody should beat us for a football/track recruit based on the track side - in particular, we have as good a reputation for that type of dual sport athlete as we do for baseball. Our baseball and track programs should be selling points for these kids, particularly for a kid with Olympic aspirations in track and field.

a couple of ways to take this:
1. if he's being truthful, then U$C is out. No shock to him going to a school that is currently down the street from him.
2. Maybe he wants to pull a shocker, and therefore has acted like the Vols are out, only to do the ole switcharoo.
3. Likewise, maybe he's not squashing the "U$C or Florida" rumors because he wants to try to shock folks when he pulls out the purple hat.
4. I hate recruiting. Why do I keep reading this board?

He really should come to DBU. That'd be us.

LSU is building a future championship class. He can sure be a part of it, if he wants to....
