Am watching MNF, San Diego v, Oakland, and the long snapping issues Oakland is having should cause no one to ever EVER bitch about our signing a long snapper again. Not having a good one is a bitch.

Yes it is. You never notice the long snapper until you have a bad one.

good point....Miles' four team recruiting approach is, without doubt, the reason why we are now a perrenial top 5-10 team.

amen. i love the way miles recruits for "the team". guys like long snappers, scout qbs, punters, fullbacks, etc are damn important to a team yet many coaches just find guys that don't fit other positions well and plug 'em in.

and many coaches aren't leading teams that are challenging for championships every year. Could be a coincidence.

I'd be interested to see how LSU's 2nd string long snapper would perform. People are forgetting that dude last night was a fricking linebacker

Miles is sly like a fox. I remember everyone crying when we signed 3 kickers one year.

Wing one of the most dangerous weapons on the team. I mean 61 yards and then it rolls backwards and out of bounds inside the ten. How damn demoralizing that has to be for the offense. after stopping the tiger offense to have to start their drive in the shadow of their own goal post. it’s a game of field position and wing’s punting is tremendous advantage in that aspect of the game. His scholly is one very well spent.

And to follow the OP, Wing could not do his thing w/o the ball.

Wing's backup looked pretty damn good too.
