I think missing out on Noil helps out a little bit with landing Johnson.

If LSU will look solid in games next year we can get the kids.

Kids are looking for exposer and LSU has that. Winning and good execution will give the indication to these kids that LSU will give a good opertunity to win it all.

I know we lost only two games in 2010 finishing 11-2 but JJ was horrendous and we still managed to pick up both Beckham and Landry. Even Williams this year went to Auburn AFTER looking at how little they passed.

Seeing stuff like that and Willis at UF tells me that winning or production on the field is not always a high priority, If it was, Ole Miss wouldn't have been able to pull in that ridiculous haul last year.

It rarely is. If it was Art Briles would have never built a top-15 team or TAMU wouldn't get Myles Garrett.

- feel at home
- friends going to or at school
- position coach/stability
- close to home
- getting them ready for NFL (I would say this is more for non-skill positions)

stuff like that does apply

That's true of some kids. For some other kids - Mike Brockers, Sam Montgomery, Patrick Peterson, Landon Collins - getting the most prime time exposure is what attracts them. To be a great program you need both kinds of kids; that means winning!
