Recruiting is such a god damn clown show now it's an embarrassment. I can see a few years down the line kids with dry ice smoke, bands, fireworks and lasers and no one blinking an eye about it.
I would agree, but I think it is getting to the point where people are going to care less throughout the whole process.
It used to be about watching kids come up, earning their stars, and seeing where they decide based on interests throughout the year. These kids have received so much attention, and all believe they are future NFL superstars. I can see the script flipping in the near future...at least from an LSU standpoint, it appears interest is slipping. However, it will always be big this time of year.

I can see this coming. Not a stretch at all.

I agree. If the kid is scattered like that or willing to be less than truthful in his recruitment it doesn't bode well for his future.

i guess it does help us some with adoree if he was interested in uf. have a good angle with adoree cause hell play nickel and be a ret guy at LSU, possibly that is.

I don't follow recruiting all that closely, but the few times I have noticed a recruit make bizarre decisions like this, he went on to not have a very successful career at all. Gunner Kiel and Janzen Jackson come foremost to mind.
Mental toughness. The attribute the recruiting services cannot measure.
These kids go from thinking they will be NFL stars to crying in a position coach's office a few months later. Happens all of the time.

I am of the mind that you can't build a team with ranadom 5*'s. I'd rather have the class that build camaraderie throughout the process, added to great leadership returning on the team, regardless of the stars.
I'm not saying that 5*'s are not great talents, but would like them to at least know eachother and want to play together. Having said that, if you can't have the class come together like I described, it definitely doesn't hurt to fill it up with random, confused 5* talents.

This is why fans shouldn't get bent outta shape when a 16-19yr old changes his mind where he's going to college. Just wait until the kid enrolls or wait until signing day. As there have been a few who gave a verbal to one school, actually signed a letter of intent, then enrolled somewhere completely different.

Highly recruited kids see a former top team struggle and they see an opportunity to help turn it around, along with early playing time. What's hard to figure out about that?
We get mad when kids go to a team that's firmly established and esteemed like Bama but we also criticize them when they go to a struggling team. Can't have it both ways.

Nobody can argue with that.
But, it wasn't an Alabama/Florida choice a week ago.
It was an Arizona choice over Alabama.
This one screams highest bidder, and I don't really care, other than to point out FL's situation with FSU, and the NCAA's handling of the Miami fiasco.
You can't blame them.

Well one is more likely to happen than the other, there is probably just as much shock as there is criticism toward what is less likely to happen.

I'll say this. I think Tabor is better than all mentioned here. Long, tall and physical. It's going to suck to have to play him every year now. Not that I thought Florida wouldn't have great CB's one way or another.

UF led for Tabor for a while. When it looked like Roberson was going to stay, he cooled on UF, but they were still top 3. He wants to start as a TR FR, and now that Roberson declared, VH3 is the only returning starter.
I didn't follow his recruiting. What did he like about Arizona? Other than the obvious, early playing time.

His GF was heading to Zona and Rich Rod was supposed to have a job lined up for one of his HS coaches. Not sure which one fell through tbh.
