His ability as a position coach may be up for debate but as a recruiter he is among the elite of the elite

[quote]This really surprises me. Netherly decommits from a&m and we were mentioned a lot.. But then that seem to not materialize much.. And a lot of talk lately was he was probably going back to a&m

Does not surprise me at all, in fact, I had a feeling he would commit for one reason. The recent love LSU is getting and visit from the 4 star IMG WR Jhamom Ausbon made him pull the trigger. D Craig was raving about how Ausbon looked great in a previous LSU camp, and his surprise trip this weekend to LSU forced Mannie to commit as he knows we might only take 3 WR and Guidry is in and we are targeting Devonta Smith plus he makes 3. It would be hard to pass up Ausbon though!

So we are now DBU, RBU, DLU (especially after last year's haul and when we get Shelvin and Wilson-Sick!), can we say WRU but finally need to use their talent and sling it to them?

If we could get Devonta Smith too, I will freaking fap all over the place. I'm not kidding.

You sure about that? Ever spent much time in San Antone? I used to eat at taquerias on Murphy-Wilcrest, and Arandas,etc..in East Houston, as the lone gringo in there..it was Texas and America in name only.

I spent a year in Horseshoe Bay..now that I'd call Texas..have cousins in Woodlands, Tyler, Mo City..that I'd call Texas.

Haven't been to Mexico City, Cancun, Tijuana, Nuevo Laredo, San Miguel, or Acapulco in over 25 years..I just visit family and fiends in Tejas for a diluted flavor without all the Chiclet panhandlers and cartel danger.

P.S. Your post history suggests you need a Snickers before TDing

Understatement.

I'm glad we're doing so well in Tejas this year. Netherly is a great addition.

This keeps up, they're going to have to change that "I'm from Louisiana" song they play for games.

All of Texas is Mexico. What are you smoking? That state is known for their Mexican heritage. When you go there it's like a whole other country.

Awesome!

How many more receivers do we take?

Lots of names left out there.

He's definitely a good fit for what we like to do on offense. And, BDP catches a lot of crap on the rant, but that dude can close a recruit - if he's getable, Peveto can get him.

ETA: And Craig deserves props on this get as well.

Did his ranking drop recently ? Did he struggle in camps or what?
