I don’t really feel like Bussey did anything close to this seeing how he never decommited from A&M. He actually seems like a player that really looked into other programs to make sure he was 100% sold and in the end stuck with his original commitment.
This is exactly what happened. He was always committed to A&M but was at least listening to other offers.
No one was going to match what A&M was going to be willing to pay him. We just likely made A&M spend a little more money on them and sometimes that’s part of the game plan. Yeah, A&M has money, but at some point their money men will look at the money they are spending and the results on the field and start thinking twice about if it’s actually worth it for them to shell out that extra couple hundred k for that 5 star vs spending less for that 4 star when the on the field results end up being the same.

Agree with your post but I have said and still say it that Bussey was in a special situation. A&M had fired their head coach back in late November? (probably Jumbo being gone didn't affect him ) and he wanted to see who the asst coaches were going to be...who is retained...who is getting brought in, etc. I think he handled his entire recruitment with a lot of class. He never teased any fan bases to my knowledge and never lied to anyone.

Isn’t that rpm heavily influenced by the picks made by those USC analysts? I’m not familiar with their rpm algorithm but it seems like those percentages are based off of last summer.
It’s like Underwood’s rpm, Michigan St had the 2nd best percentage to land him even though they weren’t involved for several months leading up to his commitment
You know more than I do about predictions...I think that is the On3 site maybe as opposed to Crystal Balls on 247? Anyway, one reason I don't spend time on those is many analysts never seem to update them (as you stated, Underwood a perfect example). Plus, on 247, I get tired of Wiltfong predicting someone to go to one school for like 1 year (let's say use Colin Simmons to LSU as an example), and then near NSD he gets info about Texas. And he actually gets paid for that? I doubt LSU ever led for Simmons...just in the running.

Looks like he wants some attention
If you were 17 years old and everyone in the world wanted to pay attention to you, wouldn't you soak it up too?
