Which ones in your opinion are the better ones and more of a fit in Arandas scheme.

I'll take it. Just didn't know if some of them are more of a 4-3 LB or can play both

I'll take them all please.

As far as positions go, they Gay plays OLB, Phillips and Taylor are ILBs and Chaisson is an edge rusher.

I think if we could get them all, take them all and let coach Aranda figure it out from there.

Why 3 out of 4? The 3-4 is our new base defense. That 4 means 4 linebackers. So why set an arbitrary limit of 3?

That said, I would be interested in which position those in the know think each fits best in this scheme.

So it is uncommitted prospects and not recruits. Markaviest Bryant as well.

Queen, Gay, Phillips and Chaisson would sure up the LB position for the rest of Aranda's tenure at LSU.

You have no idea what you're saying here, Aranda just might be here for 10 years. You don't know if he wants to be a HC, you also don't know if he would want to go pro which would be the only two moves he would take. He'll be at LSU for sometime. We will win a championship with him possibly multiple before he ever thinks about leaving.

If Aranda leaves, it wont be over money. LSU will continually make him the highest paid DC in the nation if he continues his success. I'm sure he really enjoys coaching under O as CEO give him free reign and trust to do his job w/o micro management.

I could see him leaving for an NFL DC position or a college head coaching gig if either of those interest him. Nobody really knows at this point and I don't think he's even given it much thought. He's probably STILL thinking about the 4th quarter against A&M.

If given the choice, I would take Chaisson, Gay, and Phillips.

To be honest, you dont know what you are saying here either. If he leaves it is for the NFL not a HC job. You are speculating just as much as Mighty is.

I think the question is more about if we run out of space... and in my opinion that goes back to adding Harris or another WR... Obviously ILB is more of a trouble spot depth wise than OLB but that could be helped a bit if Divinity moves inside. Taking everyone left on the board would be great... but obviously not happening. Personally I take Gay Phillips Chaisson and Brooks (or Allen if he flips) plus big Marvin and Etienne and if I had one more spot take the first to commit from the group of Todd Harris, Mathis, Smith or Collins and call it a day...

In my opinion...

Gay - Inside Rover/Will, think Deion Jones but in Aranda's scheme
Phillips - True Mike or Mack inside backer
Taylor - F-OLB, sets edge to the field side, could also play inside Mack
Chaisson - Buck OLB, think Arden Key
Queen - another inside Rover guy, he has the frame to play at 230+

Chaisson is the next Arden Key. Think top 5 draft pick 2020!

That would be an ideal set of LBs for this class given LSU's needs and the potential of these players.

So you say this:
quote:

You have no idea what you're saying here

Then this :

quote:

Aranda just might be here for 10 years. You don't know if he wants to be a HC, you also don't know if he would want to go pro which would be the only two moves he would take. He'll be at LSU for sometime. We will win a championship with him possibly multiple before he ever thinks about leaving.

He won't be unless he's Chavis 2.0 and is content being a DC. However, I feel like if he's at LSU for more than 3 years it won't be as our DC. I feel like he could be the next HC here if that's what he wants to do.
