I don't have a inside source or any connection to the kid, but the school is very Pro TAMU. Kevin Sumlin has Recruited there in the past, and Gary Kubiak (st.Pius and TAMU grad) comes around occasionally.Having a Superbowl winning player and coach pitching for the ags cant help our chances.

Actually, In the last 10-15 years SPX has sent players to several DI schools. Just a few years ago they had 2 alumna at UT. The HC is really connected to several college staffs, in particular Rice and UH, UH is obviously on the rise.

Don't think a Penn st kicker who transferred to UT after the Diddling Debacle counts towards SPX Coaching staff relationship with UT. I cant speak about the new head coach and his relationship with any college programs, but the AD was head Coach when Sumlin was taking the swagcoppter to watch SPX vs Seally.

The AD is also a BR native and a vocal LSU fan.....
