The Opening NO Top Performers
Top 5 Offense
1. Jamarr Chase, WR – He's a thick, physical receiver who was plenty fast enough in the testing portion and the guy just kept getting open. He kept making plays in front of and behind the defense. Chase, a recent Kansas decommit, is a stock-up type of talent who will likely become a priority for a lot of schools in the coming months.
2. Justin Rogers, QB – One of two quarterbacks to earn an invite to The Opening Finals, Rogers showcased a big-time arm, accuracy and outstanding anticipation and timing throughout the afternoon. TCU is considered the favorite at this point.
3. Colson Yankoff, QB – Though he didn't land an Elite 11 Finals invite yet, we sure were impressed with the tools he showcased. Yankoff is 6-foot-3.5, runs a 4.7 40, has a 38-inch vertical, a 4.1 shuttle and a huge arm. He didn't uncork it as much as he's capable of on Sunday but keep in mind, this is an Idaho native fresh off the basketball court that hasn't had a chance to throw much in recent weeks due to snowfall. He's one of the top quarterbacks in the country in our estimation.
4. Kwatrivous Johnson, OT – An absolutely massive offensive tackle that has already landed an offer from Mississippi State, this is the type of raw in-state talent that State coaches up and manages to get a lot out of. If Johnson can give consistent effort in pads, he showed that the raw ability – and size - is there in a big way.
5. Tyler Badie, RB – Give the kid credit. He came to the event as an unknown and took home the running back MVP award after having an effective day in all the drills and showing off the best speed in the entire camp. He was the only player to break 4.5 in the 40-yard dash, cruising to a 4.4 time.
Top 5 Defense
1. Micah Baskerville, LB – A recent LSU commit, Baskerville showed off a complete skillset at linebacker with the ability to make plays in space, get in throwing lanes and tackle running backs in cat and mouse drills. That's all good to see considering his best trait is his ability to strike in pads.
2. Darius Davis, CB – A personal favorite, Davis really flashed to me with his hips, his explosiveness out of his backpedal and his ability to find the football. TCU has already offered but we could see more coming despite his 5-10 frame.
3. Salua Masina, LB – Masina is the long, rangy, versatile linebacker that is a tough matchup in a camp setting. He's so athletic, has yet to fill out his frame and continues to get better every time we see him. Several West coast programs have offered the four-star.
4. Jordan Davis, DE – Probably the best defensive line prospect at the camp, you can't miss Davis in the registration line. He's a long, impressive looking kid that looks like we've come to expect these Alabama commits to look. It wasn't some undeniable, dominating showing for Davis but he flashed some unique edge athleticism and the frame is rare.
5. Eddie Smith, CB – This kid can break on a football. Smith is a bigger cornerback that can absolutely go get it when he puts his foot in the ground. He showed the ability to also capitalize on opportunities by snatching up multiple interceptions. Memphis, Oregon State and Louisiana Tech are among his offers.
Some youngsters that flashed
At the quarterback position, Grant Gunnell out of Texas is a huge kid that can rip it. A class of 2019 prospect, Gunnell emerged as the best underclassman at the position on the day.
A running back that impressed with his balance and explosiveness was Charvis Thornton out of the class of 2019. He already has a Colorado offer but he's got some juice to his game and could see more offers follow quickly.
Class of 2019 wide receiver Jordan Whittingham has flashed at events before but he caught the attention of coaches once again on Sunday. Jacobi Bellazin out of the class of 2020 was a new name however and despite his age, he may have been the best route-runner at the event.
While those guys popped at wide receiver, Oklahoma native Grayson Boomer was probably the best tight end in attendance as 2019 prospect.

The Opening camp circuit hit New Orleans on Sunday highlighted by a deep and talented crop of quarterbacks, wide receivers and defensive backs. The event resulted in two new invites to the Elite 11 Finals and four invites to The Opening Finals in Oregon

These four Louisiana prospects did well in every aspect of the camp. Each put up impressive numbers in testing, looked the part in drills, and more than held their own in 1-on-1 and 7-on-7 action. Each prospect made a statement to onlookers, media and other prospects on hand.

Dosen't it look like Corione is flashing the LSU "L".

I think we might have really slowed down on him but not Jason though

Good job man! I did something similar to this a while back I know how time consuming this is. Yours is better IMO.

LSU really likes John Emery out of Destrehan for running back in 2019. He has an offer even though it doesn't say so on 247.
