Verlander's re-pick is Mike Horton, OL, Auburn
Verlander has figured out that if he selects an entire team's oline, then some of them will have to start eventually!

Team Gaytorhater703 Selects Isaiah Washington DE LSU

jembeurt selects Russell Ude, DE/DT, California
At 6'3" 250, he is already at the point where putting a few more pounds on will initiate the move inside. The main thing I loved about him is his ability to play anywhere on the line, which he will probably do until he grows into whatever position he is going to settle into. Another thing about him is his offer list. Aside from getting some big time offers, he got schollys to play at Harvard, Princeton, and Yale!!!
Also, with his addition to my team, I might be in the process of changing from a 4-3 to a 3-4. Not sure.

With my 18th pick the Phanaticks select:
D'Anfernee McGriff
Athlete
Tallahassee, FL (Tallahassee Leon)
Ht: 6-1 | Wt: 230 | 40: 4.34
I am going to play him at OLB.
McGriff is a very interesting player who has some skills that suggest he can be used in a variety of roles. The first thing one notices about him is his size. McGriff is a very big prospect, and while he may be able to add some additional good weight in college, he's not someone who I would project to add 25 or 35 pounds when all is said and done.
McGriff has been recruited primarily at running back and on defense, as a hybrid linebacker/safety type.
Possesses all the physical measurables you want in a jumbo athlete. Looks the part and plays the part. Is big, physical and strong. Possesses height, weight and length to be able to contribute early from a physical standpoint. Possesses surprising overall agility, quickness and straight-lined top end speed. Once he gains momentum and tops out, he is a load to handle. A dynamic athlete given his size.
This prospect gives college coaches endless possibilities from a positional standpoint. Likely projects as a H-back/tight end or linebacker. Could potentially have value as a perimeter pass catcher as well. There are very few prospects of his stature with the range and athleticism he possesses. Is very similar to former Florida athlete Trey Burton as an overall playmaker. However, McGriff may be faster.
McGriff is one of those unique athletes that you take now, and worry about where to play later. Big, physical prospects like him don't move the way he does. It's easy to see why coaches would be excited about his upside as he has yet to settle in at his future position which provides for an outstanding developmental high ceiling. Possesses a high and skill set for top tier programs. Is going to need to develop at a different position which could take a little time.

With my 19th pick the Phanaticks select:
Calvin Brewton
Safety, Cornerback
Miami, FL (Miami Central)
Ht: 5-11.5 | Wt: 172
Athletic ability/measurables:
Brewton has solid speed and is a very fluid athlete. He has loose hips and displays very good feet. His height and length are definitely an asset, but he will need to add weight to help improve as a tackler.
Skills/technique:
Calvin Brewton is a safety with the skills of a corner. He has the size to match up with bigger receivers on the outside and he’s athletic enough to cover slot receivers man to man. I really like the way he can flip his hips and run with receivers and the way he plants to break on the football.
Brewton gets his hands on the football a lot and shows great awareness in coverage to break up passes. One thing that is missing from Brewton’s game though is elite ball skills. He misses opportunities to make interceptions and needs to improve this part of his game.
He will come up and tackle in run support, but he is not a thumper. He’s not going to hit through somebody or make an impact hit that can change momentum. He can sometimes be more a grabber than a tackler. Adding weight and strength will definitely help him in this area.
Scheme fit:
Brewton is a fit at free safety and could see some work as a nickel corner as well for the Seminoles.
Potential:
Brewton may never emerge as a player to grabs headlines with impact plays, but he flashes the ability to be a consistent presence that can cover off mistakes and make stops in coverage. He may need a year or two to fill out and get stronger, but he’s got the potential to be a very good starting safety for multiple years at Florida State.

jembeurt selects Jalen Christian, WR, South Carolina
I've passed him the last few rounds, mainly because I had to keep checking if he was taken. He is #105 on the top 247 list and #207 on the 247 Composite list. Not sure why he's still available. Maybe because he's 5'10" 165. I really wasn't looking at him for my last WR spot, but its tough to pass on what most of the services consider a good athlete. He will be playing WR at USCe, and more than likely the slot.
