There was some "inside" guy a couple of weeks ago here saying that Guice was going to be hard to pull from BAMA. That he was seriously leaning that way.

fricking "insiders" on this board.

yeah, the greatest running backs imo in the NFL history ran a 4.6 or higher... Jim Brown and Walter Payton. 40 times for RBs are extremely overrated, you have instincts or you dont, I remember my 3rd best imo, Barry Sanders talking about its the position you really cant teach as much as it was instinct. MLB is a similar position when it comes to being more instinctual

I wasn't talking about the validity of 40 times, just the fact that people can watch 30 seconds of highlights and say 'there's no way he runs only a 4.X 40

just seems ignant to me

Yeah, I get that, telling how fast a kid is comparative to those around them doesnt work out to well unless they are in an AllStar or at a camp. I want to know football speed and could care less about your 40 unless your a DB. High school 40 times are about as useful for the most part as 40 times given out at Arky. My blood gets goin a bit when 40 times get mentioned for any RB or MLB for that matter
